Toney vs Jirov as well.
When has a boxing match ever made your jaw drop?

The most shocking moments I've seen:
One fight, a guy went out to touch gloves at the bell, and the other dude just ****ed back and nailed him in the jaw. Dude left on a stretcher.
Also, Nate Campbell vs. Robbie Peden Anyone who saw this fight knows why. Campbell was starting to take over the fight, when he decides to show off. He stands there with his HANDS AT HIS SIDE trying to act tough, and Peden just decks him with the perfect left hook and drops him for a 10 count. It was the first time I've ever seen it in professional boxing. They replay it all the time on FSN.Comment

what made my jaw drop? corralles/castillo. corralles coming back with that energy was some ****.
wlad/sanders. didn't see that one coming. shows ya why you should never overlook anyone. i think he would have won that fight had he known about corrie's killer left and prepared a little more properly instead of thinking the guy was a complete bum and he could simply stroll to an easy victory.
tyson biting holyfield's ear half off. everyone in the room was like "wtf just happened"?
elder/burton fight. that last round was just crazy.
moorer/foreman. foreman wasn't doing too hot, than WHAM! down goes michael. i should've bet money on that fight.
and anybody remember that dude on fnf, or was it tnf, that was boxing with his ear almost completely detached. anybody got a copy of that fight? i accidently deleted that from my dvr a couple months ago.
just a few off the top of my head. i'm sure i can think of more.Comment

Originally posted by AnorakFor me any of the "old school" bouts have never really done this, largely because I know what to expect. It's history, so no matter how many Ali shuffles I see, I knew what was coming, brilliant though it is.
But lately I've had a few jaw-droppers. There's Augustus doing his dancing, Golota getting sparked three times in a minute and Roy Jones getting KOed by Tarver. (Remember when RJJ getting KOed seemed like a bizarre joke that could never really happen?)
But I mention this because I finally got to see Holyfield-Bowe I. What can I say... round ten. Wow!
When Roy got ko'd by Tarver I did the opposite of letting my jaw drop, I jumped over the coffe table screaming, I spilt my full jack and coke all over the carpet and within five minutes there was 5 police officers at my door wanting to know if there was a domestic dispute.
I was drunk off my ass and was trying to explained to the cop that Roy Joines had just been knocked out, he agreed that it was pretty big news but he still said I had to keep the noise down.
This was a jaw dropper, I was in shock for sure!Comment

That uppercut that Vernon Forrest threw would have knocked out most light-heavyweights!Last edited by Martin (Top Knowledge); 08-22-2005, 01:05 PM.Comment
