    Eubank the trainer?

The best sports coverage from around the world, covering: Football, Cricket, Golf, Rugby, WWE, Boxing, Tennis and much more.

I think he'd make a very good trainer, he's a very smart guy and he also has a wealth of experience and knows the ring well.
This guy spent six years in the 80's sparring with all the best fighters around the gyms of New York, fought in many Golden Gloves tournaments, fought in many exhibition bouts, and on top of that had 50-something professional fights (24 of which world championship bouts). Like Manny Steward, Eubank unbelievably won Golden Gloves with NO trainer! Maybe he has a special gift?

haha ha ha ha ha. He can also teach them how to duck someone like Body Snatcher and LightsOut Toney and be scared to someone like Dariusz and teach them just fight whoever they can beat.

i really think more ex-fighters should turn to training. it's only natural. boxing will only benefit from it.

I agree. Buddy Magert (however you spell his last name) makes a good trainer. Teddy Atlas was a good trainer. I wish Teddy would train more fighters.

Nah, Teddy Atlas is a good announcer, but as a trainer, he is horrible. His style only works with certain fighters. If you call that a style. The tough guy, talking your head off, belittleing style is good for some fighters, I guess.

And I don't really know much about Teddy's boxing credentials. A lot of people say that there is no record of Teddy acutally fighting, let alone winning the golden gloves.

But anyway. The best fighter/now trainer is Freddy Roach. Eddie Futch trained him when he was a fighter (Freddy was acutally pretty good). And now you could see all the great fighters he trains. His style is great. I wish he could train me one day.

Teddy trained Michael Moore, who I thought was a good fighter until he lost his belt to Foreman, after that he quit. Didn't he help train the early Tyson?
