This fight will happen but it will be a year or so from now. Pac is facing Mosley next everyone....lets keep it real. So this is how it see everyting playing out

Martinez will face Pirog next, while Manny faces Mosley

Next fall....hopefully we can get the Floyd vs Manny fight done.

After all of that....and let's say Manny beats Floyd (which is what I expect to happen) there won't be anyone else left. I mean if Manny beats Floyd and dominates Shane....both a Berto and Bradley fight would be pointless. Also on the flip side, After Martinez beats Pirog and maybe someone like Sturm...there isn't anyone left for him either. He isn't going to 168 because all those other guys are tied to showtime, and DiBella is loyal to HBO, and on top of that....he's just too small for that class.

The only other options for him would be Margarito vs Cotto winner (who want's to see that) or possible Angulo. But due to Alfredo's legal issues, he may be out for a while.

So I see a scenario in which they end up having no better option but to face each other. Manny would have nothing to lose and Sergio will have an opportunity of a lifetime, along with a huge payday. It's a fight that makes a lot of sense but the thing is it will take time. Manny will face some people his own size in his next two fights...and then I see him trying to take on Sergio.

exactly, which is why pacquiao doesnt belong at the 154 division and has no right to force other fighters come at a lower weight just because he cant handle 154 although he has the title at 154.

Catchweight drains the other fighter making him come as a skeleton and Pacquiao just beats up a dead corpse and everyone goes "OMG HE WAS SOO MUCH BIGGER THEN PACQUIAO, PACQUIAO IS AMAZING!!!!"

Roberto Duran fought Hagler and Hearns legit he didnt need a whole og lets have catchweight fight to level the playing field, you either fight in the division of the title or you dont.
so he can come down to 154 but losing 4 more pounds will be to much for him?? even if he comes down to 150 he'll rehydrate back up to 160+ on fight night. i guess martinez needs all the advantages he can get then huh.

at 154-155 this fight will be alot closer than most think. I favor Sergio via UD, but I wouldn't be shocked if Manny wins. Hell Manny has the tools the beat Sergio but he will have to bring his A game...that's for sure.

No point in that fight tbh, whats gunna happen if Martinez beats Tony?

Oh Pacquiao and Mosley ruined him, Martinez gets no credit.

he's not forcing anyone to come down to 150. thats his limit if the other guy cant, then dont fight him and move on fight someone your size so u wont have to come down in weight then. whats so hard to understand about that? pac is not the only guy left out there.

Martinez is ****ed. There's no way he's getting a big fight any time soon. Might as well defend his titles and wait.

so whats the point of him fighting a smaller guy? if he beat the smaller guy then its just gonna be oh he fought a smaller guy thats why he won. move on fight someone in your weight class.
