I think it's obvious to anyone that watched even the first episode of 24/7 that Tony had no struggle making weight. I was looking at him two weeks before and wondering where he was going to take more weight off. I thought the problem was with letting him balloon after the weigh in.

Nacho Beristain, the trainer and manager of WBO/WBA lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez, believes Antonio Margarito had struggled with weight as he prepared for the recent twelve round loss to Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao-Margarito, which took place on November 13, was fought at a catch-weight of 150-pounds. Margarito weighed in at 150, but came in at 165-pounds on the day of the fight.

margo did the right thing by putting on pounds. that gave him the extra strength to take pac's shots.

even if margo came in lighter than 165 lbs, he wouldn't be any faster.

Nacho didn't say Marg struggled to get the weight, he said it's a mistake to weigh the max before fight weight of 165 lbs. But I kinda agree w/ Marg's camp there. Cotto tried to be fast and didn't gain much weight for their fight, look what happened. Marg tried to be big and tough though slow. He did not go down even with a busted skull, but still nice try, I think if Marg weighed at less than 160 lbs., he'd be surely Knocked down or out. But without the broken skull, he won't receive 400++ power punches coz he won't finish the bout.
