yeah and because this sport is called knockdowns right??? last time i checked this sport is called boxing. JMM outlanded pac in every single category in both fights he outboxed him in both fights nearly every single boxing write espn, yahoo, etc had JMM winning the second fight except the judges.

I wonder why did pavlik lost against martinez he got robbed right because he dropped martinez lmaol. I mean next time a fighter falls down to the canvas might as well just end the fight since knockdowns win the fights right??? anybody that doesn't truly see that marquez should of won the second fight either are *******s, JMM haters or like you that think this is all about knockdowns and don't know a damn thing about the sport of boxing. I mean look at round #8 on the second fight that **** is way more impressive than all 4 knockdowns pac had that round shows how much superior JMM was as a boxer than pacquiao.

HE beat Pac twice? where marquez kiss canvas 4 times when they fought 1st fight he got florred 3 times and 1 on the judge admit he make mistake of scoring in favor of pacquiao! pac beat marquez twice in close fight. I f marquez will fight pac @ 147lb he better sign his will and life insurance

JMM won both fights and he clearly won the #2 fight. Even Pac's boyfriend and #1 fan in the PI said JMM won the 2nd fight.

Since when is boxing called knock down? JMM clealry outboxed Pac in at least 17 rounds out of 24 rounds.

And since you used the word "*******" I can also assume your position with Pac. Fact is Pac goes around when he's not training at around 148+ lbs according to Ariza and Roach. If you watch early fights of Pac's career most critics approved his moving up thinking he could be more effective at bigger weights. To not whitewash history, technically history seems to agree that Pac is a natural 143-145lb fighter and that's his effective fighting weight without having to either dramatically diet, dehydrate or change is work regiment. Given that Marquez has a natural body weight around the lower 130s and doesn't fight above 135, in hindsight on scores I'd have given the first win on points to Pac, the second to JMM.

Its not always about boxing vs being a bomber, i have to agree that an offensive fighter has bigger drawbacks when facing a counter puncher. That said you can proclaim whatever you wish about "its about boxing and being a pure boxer" as much as you wish. But even if a prime JMM took on Pac at each of their best weights, it would be Pac @ 144 vs a 134 JMM and the result would b a given.

In the end Pac's popularity has been due to his consistently strong performance against solid opposition; no one was thinking Barrera or Morales was declining either before or during their initial bouts with Pac, Hatton fought at his best weight division where he was undefeated [keeping in mind he lost to Floyd when facing him in the WW division], Cotto was still considered a bigger guy who could win if he could get him on the ropes and Margarito was expected to loose but not the way we thought he would.

Since you've never picked up the glove it looks like, knockdowns don't win fights, but stop whining like Floy-rant proclaiming boxing is broke because of it. Its not like knockdowns occur easily and knockdowns partially gauge the ability of the boxers on both ends. You may not like it and you seem bitter about it. Hey Floyd lost his first bout to Castillo, Pac should've won the first bout and loose the second on points, Hagler should've won over Leonard and Malignaggi should've won the first bout with Diaz. The way I look at it, if the first bout went to Pac, there wouldn't have been a second and that's that really.
