Schaefer should be careful with what he says. GB has one huge money maker in Floyd, and cannot get the guy in the ring. Maybe if they had him under contract, Floyd would be more active. Does he want the rest of his stable to stand up for themselves also?

Top Rank is the best at cherry picking. This is a pattern, they did this with Oscar. Oscar fought Vargas and Mayorga after they were KO'd by Trinidad. Oscar fought an OLD Chavez and so on............ One thing that Oscar did do was fight a slick black fighter.

MANNY IS A PADDED PROTECTED FIGHTER!!!! if you have a chance to beat him or they cant weight drain you then you cant fight manny pac!!!

Funny how people are dogging pac for fighting " a walking punching bag" in margarito an " easy win" in clottey. A "shot fighter" in ricky hatton and miguel cotto. out of those fighter floyd fought hatton. in my eyes cause he was smaller. I didnt see berto, bradley, or floyd standing in line to fight any of those guys.im not saying manny's opponents are the best in the world but they are among the best out there, but it would be nice to hear people on here give credit where credit is due and stop hating.

so what if he beat williams in 2,the first was competitive,and in second fight martinez just landed a good shot,doesn't mean it wasn't going to be a good fight,my point is going into the second fight it was evenly matched,pac fighting margarito,a lot of people were saying it was a mismatch,,,see the difference?

Again it was competitive for 2 rounds, Pac-Cotto was competitive for 4 or 5 rounds. This is looking at it in hindsight.

Williams-Martinez was going to be competitive, FOTY type of fight. Pac-Oscar was a mismatch in Oscar favor. Oscar was the one that was looking as cherry picking in that fight. Speaking in going into the fight.

If we're talking about Pac-Margarito and comparing it to Williams-Martinez then fine OK. If we're talking about since the JMM fight like that poster mentioned then better in what way? And, are we talking about the perception going into the fight or looking at it in hindsight?

i don't think you can call cotto drained when he rehydrated on fight night almost 10 lbs, hatton was the king at 140 lbs thats where manny fought him. floyd made hatton go up to 147. and whne you're out weighed by 17 lbs on fight night with a heavy handed guy like margarito you run the risk of getting caught. manny's matched up well but not protected there's a difference.

I completely agree. If Manny's level of competition is weak, then Floyd's fought a cart full of tomato cans.

Or was Gatti at 140, Baldomir at 147, Mitchell at 140, yeah these guys were killers.
