Hopefully fans will tune into a lot of this weekend's great fights.

I vote more 24 / 7, P. Williams vs Martinez definitely should have got one. Martinez would be a bigger star this week then he is now.
A single Countdown like they are doing for Bradley/Alexander would have been perfect.

People act Like America is one monolithic set of people who all think the same and look the same.

This is one of the most diverse places in the history of mankind.
Manny Pacquiao is not some new sight to behold in America

There are 307,006,550 million people in the U.S.A
      Asian alone are 4.5% = 13.8 million
      Filipino's Alone are 1.5% = 4 million

The Filipino American community is the second largest Asian American group in the United States. Filipino Americans are also the largest subgroup of Overseas Filipinos.

Meaning that Manny Pacquiao being filipino has nothing to do with him being a draw.

He has fought and done business in America for almost a decade now.
the guy is not Household name. But he has a big presence in large regions of America.

I would argue more People in America recognize Manny Pacquiao
      over Andre Dirrell

I would argue more People in America recognize Manny Pacquiao
      over Kelly Pavlik

I would argue more People in America recognize Manny Pacquiao
      over Miiguel Cotto

I would argue more People in America recognize Manny Pacquiao
      over Matt Huges

and the list goes on and on.

      Manny Pacquiao
is a top 3 draw in all of combat sports.

I would say him and Brock Lesner are tie or a toss up.

This is the second dumb a$$ statement you made in this same thread! And what crown are you talking about? The baddest wife beater on the planet? By the way, how many PPVs did the Floyd Jr vs. Josie Harris bout get?

Now go back to sucking Floyds nutsack and take your nonsense elsewhere.

What happened to the fight selling over 70K tickets and selling at least 1.4 PPV's? This proves Manny doesn't deserve 50/50 against Floyd because Floyd sells more and makes more per fight than Manny.

Floyd sold more with Mosley and Mosley is not even a draw.

What makes you think Pinoys can even afford to buy PPV's in the Philippines? They show the fights in the PI for free because they know people can't afford them.

Even if you include all the PPV's in the world... Floyd still sold more with Mosley than Manny against Cotto and Margacheato.

The fight took place on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Pacquiao has been involved in at least one pay-per-view for the last three years that sold over a million units. He sold 1.25 million for the bout with Oscar De La Hoya in 2008 and 1.2 million for Miguel Cotto in 2009. Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum expected at least 1.25 million for his fight with Margarito.

What? What? How is this possible? Bob Arum said the fight did 1.5 million views and WE ALL KNOW THAT BOB ARUM NEVER LIES!!! This is shocking. There must be a mistake, OR.... could it be possible that Bob Arum lied.....again? Everyone knows that Manny Pacquiaio is the king of PPV, the god of boxing and the greatest boxer who ever lived and could ever hope to live. Say it ain't so, Mark! If his fight only did 1.15 million, that would mean that Floyd Mayweather is still the king of PPV and not Manny Pacquaio. All hail Floyd Mayweather, the winner and still King of PPVs!!!

That press release must have been written by someone at Top Rank because anyone with a pulse knows that Arum was expecting 1.3 million before the fight and claimed after the fight that "early numbers" indicated it would do 1.5 million.

Anything over a million is a resounding success. However i did expect it to do about the same as Floyd vs Mosley, given there was a Mexican and MP involved. Margarito is also a bigger draw than Shane in my estimation.

Good numbers, but again it proves that Mayweather is the biggest draw in boxing. This fight had a 24/7, Cowboys Stadium, MP and the mexican revenge factor and a prime slot in 60 minutes and it still couldn't do more than Mayweather and SSM, who was on ESPN and regular HBO not that long ago.

If this number is accurate i predict Floyd wants 60% or at a minimum 55% of any pot. The reason for this is simple. He did 1.4 milli buys vs Shane and made 40 million. That's not too much less (if at all) what he would make against Pac doing 2 million buys and him getting 50%.

If these numbers are to be belived, Mayweather has outdrawn Pac with 3 common opponents, and he also outdrew Pac vs Cotto vs Margo with SSM as his B-side. We all know Cotto is the third biggest draw behind FMJ and MP.

Floyd asks for more, because he deserves more.
