Anyway, Antonio Margarito was born in California. Miguel Cotto is from a US commonwealth. So judging by your "foreign fighter" crap, the only basis for your argument is Pacquiao-Clottey. Truthfully, this debate is stupid since these latest #s are something to be proud of. But with your head stuck up Manny's culo, it's high time someone pull you out.
      LMAO...Damn, son.

      • Thats still good, Floyd is going to take the piss out of this because it didn't beat his but Manny can say look you're from the USA and you did 1.3/4 w/e he did, imagine one of my fights was in the philipines and they had PPV, how many millions would that sell lmao

        • anything over 1 million is a success..so thats good either way..
now when it comes to Pac..he should be glad Floyd is generous enough to give him 50/50
because he knows hes the draw..and I guess now we can confirm who the Ca$h Cow truly is..
on another note..whats up with the crowd in attendance?
youd think with it being in Texas(Marg) the fight wouldve sold out..

Clottey stunk up the joint so badly last time that it turned away many potential repeat customers(casual). The cowboys getting their asses kicked also doesn't help matters either.

It still great numbers considering Pac/Cotto only did like 50-100K more.

            • Its a sad day for *****s when the only argument the have are PPV Numbers and how much money there boyfriend has in there bank account, LOL!

              • good numbers for manny and tony--kudos to them both--but isn't it funny that he didn't surpass that boring fighter named mayweather? seeing how floyd can't draw--and the excuse that manny isn't from the united states is spilt milk at this point--he is more popular and has fan friendly style, yet he barley surpassed may vs jmm and sold a lot less then the 1.4 million ppv buys that was may vs mosley----he still has not outsold floyd vs oscar--nowhere near---so how big of a draw is he really compared to floyd? he does good numbers, no doubt about--he's a superb fighter, but floyd is the bigger draw, and has always been--

floyd is the biggest star in boxing and he has proven it--but great numbers from manny--especially considering who his dance partner was---

he can still fight floyd for 50/50 even though floyd's numbers prove he deserves at least 60/40 for manny---he has done more numbers than manny again---

people on here bash floyd, claiming he is supposed to sell more than manny because he's an american fighter, but that's not the case at all---floyd's persona and antics sells fights very well--when will you all get it? he's bigger than manny---has always been bigger than manny when it comes to numbers---manny still needs to fight floyd--and we all know already that the fight will outsell the world awaits by a lot more---

The people that think this is not great are the ones upset that Pac STILL has yet to sell more than Mayweather. Even when fighting the same fighters or not. More people are upset because they're expecting Pac to beat Floyd's numbers and he always comes up short.

Mayweather > Pac in PPV #'s, money and draw if you like it or not. It's just a fact and the numbers don't lie, people do.

The villain always has more paying "customers" IMO. They get the "fan boy" haters paying to see him lose and then his fans paying to see him fight.

By evaluating the situation there's a reason people are so pissed that keep paying to see Floyd lose. It's brilliant on Floyd's part as he's not as exciting as Pac yet still does great (better) numbers. He's technical which is not always the fan favorite but he's made his point time and time again that he still sells more.

At the end of the day Arum expected more, Mayweather haters/Pac fans expected more, Mayweather fans/Pac haters expected less BUT like you said anything over 1 million is great and I think the same.
I can only imagine what Mayweather vs Pac would do PPV/money wise.... Might give the all time record a run for its money IMO.
with all the mayweather rants and all his court cases and of course being american..no doubt he will sell more than pac...lol.....

it wouldn't matter really seeing how ppv buyrates are based on people ordering the fight from the telephones and tv's....

floyd beats manny again in the numbers---clottey and manny sold half of what shane and may did and now manny and tony sold less---so floyd has been right all along--he is the cash cow--and that's a lot considering how much you ****ing dumb****s hate the ****er--lol---
