Not that i know of.. He is just desperate to get that trilogy made.. i think he is just trying to make his performances with Pac look all the more impressive.

Actually, Bob Arum was originally planning to stage the fight after their fights this past January. When Juan Lopez saw what Yuriokis Gamboa did to his conquerer, Rogers Mtagwa. Lopez told Arum to protect hm from Gamboa. He saw that Gamboa is not a shot fighter.

Arum justified this with the "we are just hyping up the fight" excuse.

Secondly, there's no shame in JMM trying to go after the most dangerous man in boxing. Indeed, rejecting easy fights to go after Pac is respectful.

And thirdly, being shut out by a Floyd Mayweather that had a huge weight advantage over him (but JMM still took the fight to him), while JMM was way out of his comfort zone, is not embarrassing.

You should try getting in a ring then we'll see who's embarrassed and a quitter. But I'm thinking it's unlikely you'll ever move from behind your keyboard.
