Yes he has, but Pacquiao should not be in contention. Yes Pac is the king of $$$, but Sergio is too big, too slick, and too sexy for him.

Sergio needs to unify the MW division. Imagine what that would do for his legacy, what it would do for boxing if this happened? Forget Pacquiao and his selective trinket hunting across divisions for a second, do something memorable as well, unify one of the most celebrated divisions in boxing! If you can do that, and your age permits then jump up to SMW and challenged guys like Bute and go for the record books.

This is what it comes down to. If Martinez wants to fight Pacquiao, he has to give Pacquiao his way. MP holds all the cards here.

You may not like it, but it is just the way it is. If Martinez wants a big fight, he has two options, move down a bit for a mega-payday or move up a bit to get another HBO date with a super-middle. The actual middleweight division is just him and some prospects right now.
