Sergio's KO a VERY LUCKY punch! - (video proof)

The fundamental rule of punching in boxing is to keep your other hand up to guard your face as you throw a punch. Both Sergio and Williams sloppily threw punches like unschooled amateurs. To make it worse, Sergio threw his punch not only with his right hand down low but with his eyes closed as well.
It was a lucky punch as you can see. There needs to be a rematch.

I admit, sergio's technique isn't great, but at least he ducked. pwill stuck his chin out like an idiot.
it's not a lucky punch when you've been throwing that punch the whole night with murderous intent. that shows that he was training to land that punchComment

It's not a lucky punch..... that was a perfect counter and even if Paul Williams landed his punch it wouldn't have been much since Martinez shifted his head out already. It was an excellent counter, stop playing this bull**** 'lucky punch'. There should be no rematch, Williams didn't give Quintana a rematch so why should Martinez?Comment

But there's a lot more skill to that then it looks. If you look at all the different angles of this punch you will notice Martinez moved his head out of the way just as he was throwing the punch. And even though his eyes were closed, he timed Williams coming in and threw the punch where he knew Williams head would be when he got there. That wasn't a lucky punch, it was a great punch. The fundamental rule of punching in boxing is to keep your other hand up to guard your face as you throw a punch. That was not a lucky knockout punch.
1- Martinez landed the same punch over and over in his first meeting with P. Will.
2- Sergio landed the same punch a couple of times in the very same round the knockout occurred.
3- "La Maravilla" was turning his body in reaction to a punch he saw coming from his opponent.
4- Martinez clearly loaded up with the telling shot. When fighters load up, they often deliver a powerful but technically unsound punch.
5- The punch was already on its way home when Sergio turned his head in reaction to P. Will's left. The human brain is capable of quickly calculating the trajectory of a moving object. That's how a major-league baseball player can hit a 95 MPH fastball. It's humanly impossible to actually follow the ball into the bat, but a skilled player's brain can calculate the precise line of the ball.
Not a lucky punch.Comment

haha first off, i have to ask myself, have you ever watched a slick boxer before? have you ever been in the ring before? sparring or otherwise? have you ever watch SRL, Hopkins, or Pacquiao before, because all of them use the same " lead hand punch, while dipping out to the side "????The fundamental rule of punching in boxing is to keep your other hand up to guard your face as you throw a punch. it's a sneaky punch that makes the opponent think that their target is ducking away and they throw the sneaky lead hand and it catches them off guard. it's an old move, a classic move, and martinez executed it perfectly.
that punch was not only well timed, it was set up, and it was a punch that martinez landed with accuracy throughout the fight and all during their first fight.
like i've pointed out before, tarver jones II was a lucky punch, because that was the first time in two fights that tarver uncorked that BIG LEFT HAND and it landed. martinez was tagging williams with that punch at will in both fights............pwnage!!!Comment

Where's the proof he was lucky?
Because his right hand was low and because he took his eyes away from the punch after he picked his spot and knew where it was going?
HAHAHA.Comment
