don't have a pic; maybe someone with video upload capability can get it off a VHS transfer.

I'm taping the replay in a couple hours.

That's one of the things about being there live and looking up at a ring and only seeing one angle. Still, there's no way as we were shuffling out, that anyone thought Vargas won 98-91.

Did all the booing not make it onto the telecast?

It made it on the telecast. Thought I was hearing things. I thought theyre were saying Go Vargas.... when I knew in my heart they were chanting Castillejo. Now that you confirmed what they were chanting I see why Vargas was pissed at the fans afterwards and why his trainer said "**** the crowd"

There were some Vargas chants, but not really in the 2nd half of the fight, as people were demonstrating they thought Vargas was losing...

So did you guys think that Juarez nearly won, too?

I too thought that the fight, apart from a KD, was even.

I would have scored it 95:94 or 96:93 for Vargas.

Juarez was beaten like he stole something even with the overzealous ref. This is Juarez's second defeat.

I don't see any possible way that you could have Castillejo winning the fight. None.

The fight was closer than the scorecards had it. The first round was Castillejo's until the last 20 seconds. The 2nd round was rather similar as was round 6 I believe.

The only reason the Juarez-Soto fight was so close was because of the point deductions. I didn't keep a card, but I could see Rocky taking 1 or 2 rounds aside from that.

But Vargas beat Castillejo easily. He landed the right hand at will, boxed well for the most part, and knocked him down. He also had some wicked flurries towards the end of a couple rounds that definitely solidified it. I don't see how anyone could have Castillejo ahead in that fight, he was dismantled from the opening bell. Vargas just picked his shots. He looked decent for the most part, but his defense needs more work and he has to get that killer instinct back and finish the job next time, he shoulda gotten Castillejo out of there in the late rounds.

Could be that I got caught up in all the disappointment of the fans around me and the booing to notice what all was going on in the ring.

I did see Castillejo being much more active at the end of the fight. Vargas, like someone else mentioned, did nothing until the last seconds of round one. There was more than one example of this...

I'm watching the replay and hearing the HBO guys talk; I guess they saw it differently, and their opinion deserves more consideration...
