seriously, i'm a fan of pacquiao's but he can't demand guys come down a weight class, then say he's fighting in his opponents weight class for that weight classes title, because it's really not that weight class.
i don't care of manny weighs 147 and wants to fight for a 160 belt, i say let him, but don't make that guy come down to 150 and say you fought a middleweight.........
if you want to fight a middleweight let him be a middleweight and weigh a middleweights weight and have the fight............
now if pacquiao gets the other fighter to agree with the negotiations then that is on his opponent and it means he knows the rules and has agreed to them and so the weight demands for me would not be a problem (catchweights and conditions) because i know that the fighter knew his situation and agreed to it, so no sympathy there if it turns bad for em......
Pacman didn't ask for the fight, it's team Martinez who's interested, if they really want Pac, they should go down to him. Team Pacquiao already said right after the Margo fight and that was BEFORE the Martinez-Williams fight that they'll go back down to 147, no more 154 fights for them. In reality, Pacquiao and Martinez are really 2 divisions apart, but I'm sure those butthurt *****s will find a way to twist it to discredit Pacquiao. BTW, a 155 fight between Maravilla and Pacman will be competitive, but Pacman will be holding the short end of the stick on this one...

Test, test...
If you weighed 150 on the weigh-in, what division are you in?

You're the one who needs to STFU! Did you even read the article? Who said there that Pacman is interested or even initiated about a Martinez fight? It was Team Maravilla who did the talking there...

But the fact it's Sergio Martinez and not some face-first brawler that pacman can outwork for 12 rounds.
Clear duck move. This guy is a cherry picker.

Martinez is right though, pacman has no business fighting at 150+. Its a circus match.
Are you guys a boxing fan or just plain haters?
This is the only response that makes sense in this thread...

These are your words, and Team Pac said if Team Martinez really wants Pacquiao, they can go down to 150 to get a fight, just exactly like the Margarito fight. ya hear want I'm sayin? Where's the duck move? They didn't even mention Floyd there?

Drain em and pound em. That's the name of Pacquiao's game.
You got reading comprehension there buddy. All the talks were made by Team Martinez. It could've been acceptable if you just came out clean and say straight out that you hate Pacman, instead of trying to mask your hatred with your blabber nonsense...

Too many halfwitted as sholes on this forum. Pacquiao fought once at lightweight, once at jr.-welterweight and four times at welterweight (since I am counting this past weekend as welter, as Pac weighed in at 144 and then, on the night, I believe 146). In the past two years he has rapidly ascended 3 weight-classes. This is a guy who started his career at 106 lbs. And some people are actually criticizing him for not wishing to face Sergio, who is middleweight champion. Total fu cktards
