This Fight is not going to happen. Pacquiao & his team already said even before the fight with Margarito that Pac will going back to 147 after the fight cause Pac felt slow & uncomfortable when he tried to gain more weight & go up 150+ while in training. While Martinez said after his win against P.Will that he cant make below 156 anymore.

Its looks like *****s want Pac to commit suicide by forcing Pacman who can only weighed 144.5 at the weigh-in and 148 pounds at the fight night, to fight a guy who already fought as high of 160 pounds div. and can be 175+ pounds at fight night. I mean if Pac is already called midget at 147 what more if he go up 156+ he will be called Dwarf there LOL.

If my memory isn't failing, i think i heard he weighed 168 lbs against Pwill, same as Margarito against Pac.

him down but Sergio dropped a never been KO'd fighter like
Paul Williams with one killing left hand shot. Martinez would
kill Manny and Arum knows it and that's why he came out
immediately with that statement about how Pac needs to
chill from bigger guys. They already got their gift trinket,
so why defend it there? Who do these guys think they are

i think martinez is fast enough, and most certainly has the power to beat pacquiao. martinez is slick and always in great condition.

the only edge pacquiao would have on him would be from a catchweight to where martinez was weight drained. i'm not trying to parrot anyone, it's just a fact.

their styles would make a great match up, a hard to pick match up, and their skill set, mind set, and fighting mentality would make for a fantastic fight, but the size is the major difference and hurdle here.

if pacquiao is willing to negotiate some proper wiggle room for martinez in the weight department, then it's a good fight, and i'd pick martinez to win........ and i think that he would out slick pacquiao and maybe even stop him, obviously going by his past performance, but yeah, i think martinez can ok pacquiao unless weight drained to DLH proportions...........

I agree, and Martinez is not a big fan of weight drain....in his last fight he said that the lowest that he might go would be 156....

who did manny just fight last week? did he deserve a shot at manny? what had he done to deserve his shot? i mean, he was caught cheating---was off for almost 2 years, fought a bum his comeback fight and looked terrible against him--and his last big fight--he was beaten badly---and manny took that fight right away----just like he always does--he fights guys who either loses or look terrible in a winning effort----berto deserves his shot--he's beaten some viable opponents---

beating Carlos Quintana means Berto deserves a Pacquiao fight ? wow man really. . Margarito did NOT deserve the shot i agree, but he brings money to the table, he has a country of support so it makes business sense. . so you want Pacquiao to go up to 155 to fight Martinez ? of course he will lose that fight man, next thing you know people will want him to fight Hopkins. . i dont see nothing wrong with him fighting Marquez at 140, Bradley/Alexander winner, and as a last resort Mosley/Berto.
