whats pac mans formula beat beat sleep repeat? give me a breakFloyd has a more complex formula. It includes:
- "health comes first".
- "Not going to fight the best now".
- "I'm a rich coward".
- "I don't need to fight the best ....."
- "So what I said that I would. Now I'm saying I wouldn't"
- "I'm not going to fight him .... I'm going on another long vacation"
and the above are just some of the things that Floyd said.Comment

pac's being humble has got little to do with his accomplishments that one could hardly call an illusion....fighting the likes of erik, marco, oscar, shane, cotto and jmm, win or lose are not illusions like the titles pac won on different divisions....I'm not trying to conflate their careers or suggest one has to do with the other. I'm simply pointing out Floyd is still flourishing while Manny clearly isn't. And the wave of emotion that accompanied Manny has subsided like a wave that just crested. I think that's noteworthy......
Manny Pacquiao will continue to be the illusion some "fans" hide behind because they can't accept anything that isn't "humble" or "emasculated." They need a hero that suites their sensibilities and I'm completely okay with that, I just wish they were a little more honest about it.
also, saying floyd is still flourishing now is to look at the fighters greatness within a very selective time frame...
the poll results and posts here tend to show most people see pac's greatness over pbf borne out by pac's willingness to face great odds....not more so on pac's skill as a boxer but his heart as a fighter...Comment

These statements are why Floyd is better and greater those fights fights were considered risks for Manny but showcase or cherrpicks for Floyd. By saying that you have greater expectations for Floyd than you do Manny.pac's being humble has got little to do with his accomplishments that one could hardly call an illusion....fighting the likes of erik, marco, oscar, shane, cotto and jmm, win or lose are not illusions like the titles pac won on different divisions....

Sorry I was never going to post in this thread but your post is so ****** I had to say something. First of all, a fighters personality has nothing to do with their in ring accomplishments but that does not mean it does not have an effect on the perception of that fighters accomplishments in the media and general population, someone likable is always going to be looked upon favorably. Secondly you named six fighters, 4 of which Floyd fought too, two of them he beat at better times and one of them he beat handily while Manny lost to him by brutal KO, just saying "win or lose" does not negate the fact he lost. Fighting a great fighter and losing shows your willingness to fight greats but it is still a loss and shows you are not levels above the competition. Thirdly Floyd is still going strong or flourishing... however you want to put it... and Pac is not doing so well lately, that is not looking at a select part of their careers, it is just stating what is happening now and what happens at any point in their careers still counts when they have both retired. And lastly your last paragraph is negated by two things, 1. This thread was made a long time ago and a lot has happened since then. 2. In the last few weeks, the votes for Floyd have gone up over 6% and Manny's have gone down over 6%. That shows more people are now voting Floyd than Manny.pac's being humble has got little to do with his accomplishments that one could hardly call an illusion....fighting the likes of erik, marco, oscar, shane, cotto and jmm, win or lose are not illusions like the titles pac won on different divisions....

So if you think Manny is greater then cool or if you think Floyd is greater then cool, I really don't care either way but just stop posting ****** crap that has no value.Comment
