berto is gonna get stopped if he trades.

if berto runs, he will get beat up but make it 12 rounds.

berto isn't a great body puncher... somethiing you need to beat pac imho.

Nope. Also, what do you mean by running? Using the distance you mean? Something Pacquiao did for 12 rounds against Margarito? Oh of course you don't mean that. The guy to beat Pacquiao is a quick and slick counter puncher. Like I said, If Berto uses the distance and his speed he should have no problem winning a UD. It'd be really foolish for Berto go in and fight Pacquiao. He's too quick. He has to be smart.

People keep counting Berto out, but IMHO he's better than Pacquiao's last 6 opponents. Kid has alot of potential and he the ability to win this fight. It's a much more competitive fight than people think it is.

pac has a belt at 154 fact or fiction my question was not how much marg weighed 3 fights ago..

does or does not martinez fight at 154?

does pac have a belt in that division?

why not fight at 154 or at least a catch weight of 153 or 152?

why does the fight have to be below 150 but marg wasnt told to?

Martinez said after the fight that he’d be willing to fight at a catch weight of 156 lbs., which is five pounds heavier than the weight for the recent Pacquiao vs Margarito fight. Pacquiao, of course, could weigh in at whatever weight he’s comfortable with as long as he doesn’t go over 156. Martinez would likely weigh in at the limit, but he’s not a big middleweight. He weighed in at 157 ¼ lbs. for last the williams bout and rehydrated 10 ¼ lbs. If he did the same against Pacquiao he’d come in at 166 ¼.

This means even if Pacquiao entered the ring at the same weight as last week (148 lbs.), Martinez would have a weight advantage of 18 ¼ lbs. Margarito came in at 165 and had a 17 lb. advantage over Pacquiao when the fight started. It’s not too much of a difference and Pacquiao could make it up by coming in the ring at 150.

          sooooooo?

no, running as in what cotto was doing in the second half of the pac fight.

The guy to beat Pacquiao is a quick and slick counter puncher.
              1) morales actually beat pac, but not with quick and slick counterpunching, but with smart pressure and a great jab

              2) jmm had close fights w/ pac by standing his ground with pac

              3) everyone that ran against pac, lost, but was able to go 12 rounds.

sorry bro, but the quick and slick counterpunching style isn't gonna beat pac. who the **** is gonna want to counterpunch pac? you don't wait on a guy that's faster than you. boxing 101. learn it.

Like I said, If Berto uses the distance and his speed he should have no problem winning a UD. It'd be really foolish for Berto go in and fight Pacquiao. He's too quick. He has to be smart.
nope. if berto uses distance and his speed, he might make it 12 rounds whilst getting beat up. NOBODY WHO RAN FROM PAC HAS EVER WON!!! At some point, berto is gonna have back pac up. he needs to sit down on his punches. Most importantly, berto will have to have a consistant body attack to slow pac down.

People keep counting Berto out, but IMHO he's better than Pacquiao's last 6 opponents.
based on what? he hasn't fought anyone.

              Kid has alot of potential
that's all it is... potential. it's all in your imagination. we gotta see berto actually perform.

and he the ability to win this fight.
of course. he's a gifted athlete, but that's not enough to win.

It's a much more competitive fight than people think it is.
never said it wasn't gonna be competitive. I look forward to this fight and prefer it over a fight with mosley or marquez.

                a paper title

does or does not martinez fight at 154?
he fights at 160 lbs. he can make 154, and would have to kill himself to get down to 150.

does pac have a belt in that division?
                a paper title

why not fight at 154 or at least a catch weight of 153 or 152?
                cause pac is too small

why does the fight have to be below 150 but marg wasnt told to?
uh... the pac/marg fight was at 150 lbs.

yep.. but margarito weighed 150 lbs at the weigh in and rehydrated to 165 lbs on fight night. why can't martinez do the same?

so is pacs 154 title legit? Why brag on it but make all the people in that division come down to 150? I dont get it! My only argument is this 154 title he refuses to defend at 154 how does this happen? At 147 under pac is a beast the only person to deal with him is floyd but miss me wit the 8 titles 8 divisions bullcrap!

your argument is irrelevant as pac has no intention of defending his 154 lbs strap

the 154 lbs title is a paper title. he has no intention of defending it. until you accept this you will never be satisfied.
