But no questions asked, Martinez definitely is the Fighter of the Year
his height disadvantage was not an issue vs marg

martinez is 5'11 and so is marg? where are all these excuses coming from hes a champ in that division soooooo?

we can get on floyds shinanigans about fighting people in his division all day and he doesnt even hold a belt!!! but when it comes to pac defending his 154 title against martinez the excuses fly?

8 division title holder may ass

      Pacquiao official ducks JMM.

This fool has the nerve to say "nobody will watch the fight", but would fight Mosley and Martinez. How many PPV's has Mosley and Martinez sold? Martinez just fought in front of 5000 people on HBO. JMM has sold over 100K PPV's as the star on the card. Mosley has never been a draw and never will be a draw. The guy can't even sell out his own hometown in Cali.

why not fight at 154 or at least a catch weight of 153 or 152 if u did it with marg?

why does the fight have to be below 150 but marg wasnt told to?

Martinez said after the fight that he’d be willing to fight at a catch weight of 156 lbs., which is five pounds heavier than the weight for the recent Pacquiao vs Margarito fight. Pacquiao, of course, could weigh in at whatever weight he’s comfortable with as long as he doesn’t go over 156. Martinez would likely weigh in at the limit, but he’s not a big middleweight. He weighed in at 157 ¼ lbs. for last the williams bout and rehydrated 10 ¼ lbs. If he did the same against Pacquiao he’d come in at 166 ¼.

This means even if Pacquiao entered the ring at the same weight as last week (148 lbs.), Martinez would have a weight advantage of 18 ¼ lbs. Margarito came in at 165 and had a 17 lb. advantage over Pacquiao when the fight started. It’s not too much of a difference and Pacquiao could make it up by coming in the ring at 150.

sooooo how is it that martinez is just all of a sudden to big? is it because he actually moves around? whats the deal?
pac said he'll fight at 150, where did u get the whole it has to be below 150 from? the pac and marg fight was a catch weight at 150. if martinez agreed to this then its on, if not then fight wont happen and martinez need to fight someone his size, why are they even bringing up pac's name?

          a paper title. it's worthless

I'm thinking 150 will be the catchweight

6 lbs actually. the catchweight was 150 lbs.

Pacquiao, of course, could weigh in at whatever weight he’s comfortable with as long as he doesn’t go over 156. Martinez would likely weigh in at the limit, but he’s not a big middleweight. yeah, but marg weighed in at 150 lbs and rehydrated to 165 lbs... the question to counter your claim is, why can't martinez do the same?

sooooo how is it that martinez is just all of a sudden to big? is it because he actually moves around?

          whats the deal?
cause marg could actually make 150 lbs, martinez can't.

150 lbs is pac's number. 156 is martinez's number. guess what that means?

this fight is never gonna happen!!!!

          just give it up.

Pacquiao is smart and I'm glad that he's not retiring. He brings a lot of excitment to the sport and realizes that beating Marquez does nothing for him at this point.

Martinez should man up and get down to 149. At this point it just looks like he's ducking Pac.

                it won't sell. jmm ain't ***** above 135 lbs.

, but would fight Mosley and Martinez.
arum sells the mosley fight as "pac fights an african american"

arum sells the martinez fight as "pac fights the MW champ"

all great points... Mosley and Martinez can't sell when they are the A-side of the promotion...

however mosley is a proven seller as the B-side of any promotion.

honestly, i don't like any of these fights. I prefer pac fight berto or the winner of bradley/devon

Not only that, but JMM vs. Pacquiao 2 did what? 500k buys? This was before Pacquiao was a star after the DLH fight. This is a big money fight. He knows he can drain Martinez, and Mosley, and that they can easily duck Mayweather. With Marquez however he can't drain Marquez and the fight needs to happen at 140 or below or people will realize Pacquiao is just as bad a Mayweather. They don't want that to happen.

"No one wants to see that fight." Really Manny? Put that fight on and I guarantee you it would be your biggest PPV. People are not ****** people know Marquez got robbed the 2nd fight, that fight left so many questions and people are interested in the fight. Truth is JMM was Pacquiao's biggest challenged, he was gifted a decision. He wants NO PART OF JMM.

Marquez is a bigger threat than Mosley.
