Most of you will just act naive and not question this but you have to wonder if you have a little common sense! Before a good punch from Marquez would stop Pac in his tracks and now he takes a solid punch from Clottey, Cotto, Margarito and he just smiles like my 2year old daughter punched him. Now, explain how that happens overnight...please, someone explain it!

And for those of you who will be quick to call me a ***** or whatever else don't even bother because I was one of those who actually watched Floyd in hopes that he would loose cause I just never got to liking the guy. So, please save me the nonsense about me defending Floyd because I am not a fan of his and never have been! I am just pointing out some basic facts.

And I know that boxers get better with time but this was not Pac getting better....this was Pac being a great boxer and all of a sudden BOOM...he is the next wonder of the world!

Now, when was the last time that something like this happened with any other fighter in the world? None of us can remember, right? That's because no one can recall it happening. I mean imagine if Mikes Tyson started out a pretty good fighter with pretty decent power and then all of a sudden he starts blowing out bigger guys out of the ring...you tell me you're not going to be a little su****ious about that? You have ask yourself...well, why didn't he do that before? And don't tell me it's the trainer or a new technique. A new trainer or new technique don't help you to take the kind of punches that Pac takes now that he obviously couldn't take before. So, what gives? I don't know but to me the math doesn't add up. I really want to and hope that it's all him, that's all natural but why wasn't it there from the beginning? That's the question I would like answered. In my humble opinion such Big change in such Short time begs the question.........HOW????

At least someone admitting the fighters Pac beat were the best boxers in the world and not shop worn like *****s make out, so thats a good start.

But Pac was a world champion at 19 so that is telling you something that this kid had natural talent without even an amatuer career. Actually that is incredible when you come to think of it. Absolute incredible and shouldnt be ignored.
Why do people make out JMM is some kind of chump? Do people set the standard and bar so high for Pac that he cant have a hard fight with one of the best boxers in the world? I really dont understand this? Am i missing something, and if i am, someone enlighten me with their words of wisdom.

Sure i am going over the top but Morales beat him up and bloodied him.. the scores were fairly close i think.. Morales was 3 rounds up having given away the last round on purpose.. I personally had it wider

But one thing is for sure i never noticed a huge speed advantage like i did in pacs most recent fights. If he loses it will be from a fighter at 140 or a fighter with decent hand speed.. something Cotto/Clottey lacks

it was a headbutt... but whatever. no shame in losing to a great fighter in morales. he wouldn't be at this level if it was not for that fight.

that is why i think pacquiao is succesful in the higher weights. because he is so much faster than anybody else. he was already pretty fast in the lighter weights. that compounded when he went up cause his opponents were slower.

Hasn't Sergio also improved as a fighter at the latter stages of his career? Why isn't everyone calling PEDs on sergio? Oh wait, that's right, floyd's only ever said a fighter never get's better as their career's go on and pointed his finger at pac. It's amazing how many people buy this mayweather brain washing BS and don't realize it.

I can give you a solid answer. The two big differences i see are Alex Ariza and no more draining to make weight. I feel the sport of boxing or a lot of boxers lack the knowledge of great diet, nutrition and strength and conditioning training. The amount of money that the NFL and NBA spend on research and technology on training and diet is amazing. Don't get me wrong a lot of boxers train very well but some do not get the proper training and deit.

And him not having to drain weight is also a big plus for obvious reasons.

i fully concur. The last time i saw Pac hurt was round 7/8 against Marquez(2nd fight), since then he just smiles punches away.

What is most interesting is the fact that his work rate has gone up two fold. Fighting PAC is now like fighting the russian guy in Rocky IV.

This just doesn't make any sense to me. I could care less what people think.

He is on something. What it is I don't know.

Naazim Richardson gave a sound explanation for this.

To use the JMM fight as an example, Pac heavily drained himself to make the lower weights. You can see during the weigh-in just how much his cheekbones were popping out.

His punch resistance was therefore lower. And his punching power, while strong due to him having natural power, was also reduced.

You can see Pac now is much more healthy at 140-144. He's much fuller. The extra weight gives him back his punch resistance and punching power. And he's obviously coming into fights in a better condition without having to drain himself.

Pac's grown into his prime 140-144 weight now. But that was actually his prime weight as far back as the JMM fight. He was just draining himself to still make FW and to an extent LW. Hence why he couldn't knock JMM out and JMM was able to stun him.

Like Richardson said, the greatest trick Roach and Pac have played is to make you think he was a small guy, especially back then. He wasn't.

Sergio Martinez and Manny Pacquiao are like red wine. They get better with age.

Do you really think drugs give you punch resistance?
