All negotiations have to start somewhere. But I think Pacquiao felt Margarito's size and isn't looking for a bigger opponent.

Especially those body shots. And someone like Martinez that's light years quicker and more accurate than Margarito would be much more difficult to avoid. Pac definitely doesn't want to be outweighed by 17 pounds on fight night against Martinez.
