Sergio Martinez was WEIGHT DRAINED WITH A CATCHWEIGHT, so how come he won?

catchweights have absolutely zero effect on the outcome of fights. its more of a false sense of security for fighters.
for elite fighters, a couple of lbs dont matter. people are so ****** to think the reason why oscar lost was because of the catchweight hence the prominence of using the catchweight as a excuse to discredit wins & fighters.
24 rehydration rule absolutely makes criticisms irrelevant.

Hang on a minute TS... We witnessed 2 rounds of boxing, not a full 12 rounds. For all we know, if this fight went the distance Martinez could well have been weight drained, however, it didn't get to that point. Martinez just completely brutalized Williams instead. You can't base 2 rounds on Martinez conditioning.Comment

after sergio beat pavlik at 160, he said he'd have a hard time going back to 154 that's why he gave up his belt there. sure he can go back to 154 if he wanted to, same way cotto can give up 2lbs under WW, or how margarito who was a WW champ not long ago can make 150 easily.Comment
