Just because they are lighter than the other Islands around doesn't mean they are not mixed. We can clearly see that even most of the lighter Ricans don't look 100% hispanic, you can see the black in most of them, especially the hair. And yes the hair does matter. You're right, it was a bad choice of words. I should have said even most of the lighter colored Ricans show obvious Black/African characteristics in their looks.
