    Paul's Future as a 154 Lb Fighter?

Martinez has decent power but i still think there are bigger hitters at 154lbs than him. Williams is almost 30 and even if he makes a real effort to improve i can't see him ever being that hard to hit.

    Kirkland
    Cintron
    Angulo
    Bundrage
    Konecny
    Julio

Now Bundrage is not elite with his skill but just like he showed against Spinks who is a top defensive fighter all he has to do is land and against Paul he will get that chance. I think all the guys listed could hurt Paul.

If Cotto, Dzinziruk, Lara could hurt him i am not sure but Dzinziruk and Lara would have a very good chance of outboxing him and are southpaws also.

I really can't see Paul dominating 154lbs and think that him getting KO again is a real possiblility.

    Anybody else have opinions?

There isnt a fighter at 154 or 160 who takes that punch and keeps coming. It wasnt just the power. It was just the fact he didnt see it.

There arent any guys at 154 with the kind of skill, size and speed of Martinez to land a sick punch like that.

He cant really change his style now, And i dont expect him to..What happen to him was coming, I swear that Frog cintron might have won their fight if he didnt flew out of the ring.

He needs to take a couple of average fight at 154 and then go after the big fights, Good thing was he didnt take a 12 round beating, But the KO might affect him mentally though.

i think williams needs to serious consider staying at weltewrweight where he can absorb shots better

he's not a big puncher himself either so staying at this weight might not be good for him that being said not everyone he will be facing in the 154 lb division is as good as Martinez

i think the same it was as perfect a shot as anyone could land. Wonderful timing. Paul has been hurt in the first Martinez fight and stunned against Cintron. You don't think guys like the ones named would be able to hurt him?

no matter who Williams fights the opponent will land punches and i don't think it has to be such a perfect shot to hurt him.

I think Angulo has the best chance because he can take what Paul will dish out.

Theres 2 sides to Paul. Yes he can be hit but you better ready to take his fire as well. I know Bunderage, Cotto and Julio for a fact cant take Pauls pressure.

Pauls not a glass chinned fighter. Martinez landed some bombs in the first round that Paul ate. This was just a perfect punch.

if he can take their punches he can win those fights with his pressure and volume. i really question if he could take clean bundrage and julio punches though. bundrage is strong as a horse

No offense but Williams will get exposed again vs someone who hits hard. He has to tweak his defense bigtime although it's a little to late since he's got into the habit of leaving himself right open. Paul may end up a punchbag at this point (seriously) but I think he should fight Cintron again..
