FOTY so far is still Pac vs Marg...

The 2 fighters came out to fight. despite losing all rounds, marg came to win and was giving his all for 12 rounds. Dont know, but the fight is still the most entertaining and exciting I saw this year.Comment

But Ring Magazine generally chooses fights that have sustained back & forth action and not just a one-sided pounding. Margarito showed heart but he did very little to even claim he won more than 2 rounds. His shining moment was a single bodyshot.
Take a look at the FOTY picks for the past decade.
2000 - Erik Morales W 12 Marco Antonio Barrera I — see Barrera vs. Morales trilogy
2001 - Micky Ward W 10 Emanuel Augustus
2002 - Micky Ward W 10 Arturo Gatti I
2003 - Arturo Gatti W 10 Micky Ward III
2004 - Marco Antonio Barrera W 12 Erik Morales III — see Barrera vs. Morales trilogy
2005 - Diego Corrales TKO 10 José Luis Castillo I
2006 - Somsak Sithchatchawal KO 10 Mahyar Monshipour
2007 - Israel Vázquez KO 6 Rafael Márquez II
2008 - Israel Vázquez W 12 Rafael Márquez III
2009 - Juan Manuel Marquez KO 9 Juan Diaz
They were fights where both men had several shining moments in the fight.Comment

Then you don't watch boxing much at all do you? So what? It deserves FOTY because Marg came to win and gave it his all? That's his job buddy, nothing special about it - in fact the fight would've been better if it was stopped, the anti climax kicked in way before the fight ended. Sorry but having 12 rounds of getting your face smashed in isn't FOTY, it wasn't overly entertaining and wasn't exciting bar round 6. Fight was a joke from the beginning, I hope you didn't gain excitement from the 'OH Pac has the worst training camp so many distractions!! and Marg's BEST CAMP EVER' - I think people fail to forget that Marg did absolutely NOTHING at all after he got KO'd by Mosley.Comment

Yup, I agree with the both fighters having several shining moments during the fight. Those are unforgettable fights. but considering a ****ty year for boxing for 2010, We haven't really saw any war on par with any on those list...But Ring Magazine generally chooses fights that have sustained back & forth action and not just a one-sided pounding.
