    Did Pavlik's stock grow tonight?

He hung in there for 12 rounds with cuts over both eyes and took hard shots from Martinez.
Williams vs. Martinez I- Martinez came in on short notice and was not at his full potential.
Williams vs. Martinez II-Martinez came in with time to have a great camp and knocked Williams out cold.

    No, I wouldn't say so.

I think Sergio just had a different game plan with Paul.

He wouldn't be as risky with a big puncher in Pavlik.

I guess you could look at it that way maybe. But another way you can look at it is Williams fought Martinez tooth and nail in both fights and never thought about quitting while Pavlik's trainer had to force him to tell the doctors that he could see. I actually disagree with this thread when I stop to think about it.

If Pavlik still has anything right now, it is a strong chin. I do not see how it raises his stock or Martinez's stock. The Pavlik win was a good win, but not anything more than that as everyone will agree, that Pavlik is not the same fighter he once was. Williams was also a knockout waiting to happen. I also think Martinez is vulnerable just from the Pavlik performance. All three of them are exciting fighters, but I do not think Martinez is even P4P top 10 right now.

All I gotta say is wow about the last part of your post. I can't think of too many fighters who are putting in work like Martinez is.

Oh he is definitely impressing me. I just don't think beating Williams puts him in the P4P top 10. The Pavlik fight well, Pavlik was ready to be taken. If he gets another good win I would place him there.

Pavlik would have put Paul to sleep as well. Not in 2 rounds but it would have come.

Pascal, Alexander, Bradley, and Lopez don't belong on the list. Neither does Donaire.
