Rock made 100 G's, Barrett somehow made 250K, Mayorga made 200K, & the rest of the undercard probably added up to another 200K or so.....

so along with ticket sales, the fight made nearly A MILLION DOLLARS IN PROFIT

Rock said he took a pay cut for this fight cause he knew if he won he would get a ton more, but I never thought he'd only fight for 100g's. I thought he'd get at least 1 mil. I'm starting to believe when he said "I secured the Vitali fight for myself". Why else would he do anything ****** to jepordize his big money meet with Vitali? I'm starting to have a bit more respect for Rock as a business man.

Oscar is a moron he doesnt know how to promote! He has the name to go mainstream and show fights on nbc and abc! or fox but he is in it for himself! he wants the fast money with the ppv! I still believe if you show big fights on saturday night on a major network then it will bring more fans!

There isnt enough money from sponsors to pay the demands of the fighters....

Plus I am cool with the fights on Sho/HBO because if it was on network tv we would get the corner audio to be censored and we wouldnt even get to see the minute between the rounds.......It would be good for boxing but bad for what we are so accustomed to.

First off it wasn't 45, it was 40 so that changes the total to 1,400,000. Using your figures, that leaves 650,000 after paying the fighters. And then there were probably other costs like ring announcer, vendors, whatever it cost to rent the arena, etc, etc. Lots of overhead.
