Ok, now I am gonna add some controversy.....

I scored the first round..... oh, before I give you my score, please be aware..... I am not in the habit of changing my "score" after factoring in the benefit of hindsight, as many posters do..... so this is how I scored the fight at the time.....

And NO, I did not make a mistake..... I used 10-point-must, and deducted a point becaause Manny hit Marquez while he was on the ground after the third KD.

Was that legit? I can't remember, I would have to check the tape, but that's how I scored it at the time.

But who cares? Manny was still very lucky to escape with a draw, and the second fight obviously warranted a rematch.

JMM is my boy, and I gotta agree with your post.....
but I just want to point out two things that add a bit more context.

That comment is more valid when applied to Manny than Marquez.

Manny is the #1 P4P, Manny is the superstar, Manny is the one who swept aside all who stands before him..... OH, except for Marquez, TWICE !!

It is Manny who could not get a clean win against JMM, not the other way around.

Personally, I do not think that Manny should come down to 135. It would be fairer to JMM, but Manny should not be required to do that. 140 is probably the fairest weight for BOTH guys, and it would be too much for Marquez, expecially at this late stage of his career.

A rematch at 130lb WAS REQUIRED !!..... and anyone who saw both fights, especially the second one, must agree with that.

Now it is too late.

if anyone deserves a fight against pacquiao its marquez. they had two great fights that were close and could have gone either way. i think marquez won the rematch. but i would have liked to see a third fight between these two about two or three years ago. its my opinion that pacquiao has been ducking marquez and who can blame him he game him the two toughest fights hes probably ever had. but if manny is waiting for marquez age to catch up with him thats not cool.

If you asked me, Marquez don't deserve **** from Pacquiao! Who exactly has this loser beat since his two asswhoopings from Pacquiao?

And why did pissbreath turn down a fight against Khan, a top lightweight that is in his weightclass. His word were simply "I didn't wanna become a stepping stone"! The pride of Mexico? More like the cowardice of Mexico!

I read that too and thought WTF? The thing is, ******* will FOREVER HATE Marquez because he made their god, bleed, look human and damn well possibly have won both fights, I thought the 2nd fight was extremely close, it could have gone either way, but had Marquez up by 1 point, I laugh that *******s say Manny KO'd (In case some of you tards didn't know he KNOCKED MARQUEZ DOWN not out, down means he gets back up and fights back, out means he lost, get it?) or whooped Marquez's ass, when Manny COULDN'T FINISH him when he was hurt and had a broken nose in the 1st fight and was BALDY hurt in their 2nd fight, in reality Manny got hit the most he ever has and looked ordinary against Marquez, Marquez is my boy, but age is sadly catching up with him, so the rubber match would serve little purpose now.

If they did fight it should have been at 135, now if at 140 maybe it could still be competitive (if Marquez weighs in at 137 and comes in at 142-143) but Manny will most likely win, again I don't blame Manny for taking the DLH fight and focusing on money, his legacy is set, no one can take that away from him, that being said, he isn't invisible, you guys say he is a different fighter, he uses his right hand more, his footwork, BLAH BLAH BLAH, I heard Roach say the same **** leading up to the rematch and all I saw was Manny get hit more, get out landed and out boxed, Marquez is the better boxer, Manny is just more naturally gifted ( power,speed, ability to move up in weight) he was able to move up in weight comfortably which why Manny was able to win 8 titles, instead of hating the man (Marquez) you ******* should give him respect for pushing your idol to the limit and giving us 2 GREAT fights.

pacman would beat JMM again ,again and again.JMM would kiss the canvas manny times as he did it before. JMM is only looking for a good pay day and he know it that he cant beat pacman.Only *****s and insignificants in this boxingscene.com would think otherwise.

If Marquez is really interested, he should fight at 147 and prove he can beat Pac at that weight. He's the challenger. If he wins, then he can dictate his terms next time.
