welliver was next after chisora.if chisora can't fight or was thrown in jail welliver was his replacement.hes drooped 70 pounds, has fought 5 times in 8 months ,has 2 regional titles & is WBO#9 & WBC #14...i said this after the tua/barrett fight & no one listened...once again i am proving that i know what im talking about....not like so many others who just speculate & make up ****...welliver could be fighting tua next.tua has said he will either fight rahman, welliver, meehan or rematch barrett in newzealand...which one time will tell.

personally welliver by ranking should have been given the opportunity imo but chisora does hold the british/commonwealth titles. chisora will vacate them to get this shot & there is no doubt that wlad chose delboy as an opponent to familiarize himself with the british public.welliver is about to get some important fights.hes actually in shape & improved his skills since the solis fight.he took big punches but weighed almost 300lbs but says hes lost 70 of it.he fought at 240 his last fight.he has no chance of beating a klit but give the guy his do for working hard & dropping the weight to get himself in this positiion.with the way it is today he could get a title shot in 2011.id like to see him involved in an eliminator or 2.he's at least earned that right imo.2 regional belts & 2 top 15 rankings.lets see what he can do vs a legit top 15-20 guy.he's got a great chin...at least at 300 he did but will it hold up now that he is lighter?

If Wlad fights a bum like Chauncey Welliver I'll be disappointed in him.

Tomasz Adamek will be ready in 2011, JC Gomez says he's willing, Robert Helenius is ranked now, Kubrat Pulev has been proving himself worthy. Some haters will bitch about those fighters as opponents, but they are really not too bad.

But Wlad vs. Welliver would be a disgrace on the same level as Haye vs. Harrison.

Cedric Boswell is a good fighter who is better than most heavyweights, but he's about 40 and is inactive.

i agree with you with the opponents you name but this welliver guy is really keeping himself in the picture...its comical...adamek should be first if its not haye.heck if arreola can put a win or 2 together he could get another shot as well.oquendo should be considered as well.welliver has been a name mentioned with several name heavyweights lately.WBO #9 WBC #14 that ranking has to be considered.chisora isnt anything more then a opponent for wlad to showcase himself to the british public.welliver has 2 world organization regional titles while chisora has 2 domestic titles.welliver should have gotten the shot not chisora.

Come on, Chisora is much better than Welliver.

              - He's undefeated.
              - He's beaten Sam Sexton twice and Danny Williams.
              - He has a strong amateur background, winning gold medal in international tounaments

Welliver is just a flabby-bellied clubfighter. You should know those regional titles don't mean shit.

It would be a disgrace for Wlad to fight a bum like Welliver. I am confident he'll never do it.
