why is Cotto getting a pass this year?

he is getting a pass for his inactivity while other guys are getting torched for it Cotto had one fight against the great Yuri (bad knees) Foreman and thats it


and now all of sudden he is a top guy at 154

I wouldn't say he's getting a pass. He's just biding his time and apparently, picking his spots. I suppose he's got a right to do that at this point, though as a fan I'd like to see him more active. 154 has plenty of matches for him. But right now, there really is no top guy at 154. Bundrage has a belt, Cotto has a belt, Pac is likely giving his belt up to go back down.
