I don't care if JMM was ranked no.1 at the time he fought Floyd, the fact is that he was a LW that moved up overnight to WW. How the **** is that quality opponent. Are you telling me that if Manny fights Donaire right now at 140lbs and beats Donaire that makes him a quality opponent. GTFO.

Miguel Cotto- He arguably lost to Clottey and looked far from impressive in that fight.

Joshua Clottey- Lost to Miguel Cotto

Antonio Margarito- Looked pedestrian against journeymen Robert Garcia

Notice a pattern, SSM will be next book it, given his dynamite win against Sergio Mora lol.

BIGGER DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN BETTER. Yes, Pacquaio has beaten bigger guys which is commendable, but LOOK AT THE STATE OF THOSE GUYS GOING INTO THEIR FIGHTS WITH PACQUIAO. YET MANNY GETS ALL THIS CREDIT AND PRAISE FOR HIS RECENT RUN GIVE ME A BREAK I SEE RIGHT THROUGH HIS RECENT RUN. MANNY STEP YOUR GAME UP AND FIGHT A LIVE DOG. I'M TIRED OF YOU AND YOUR ISHH.......

But Pacquaio came up from 130lbs to fight these guys
Look, it is much easier to discredt Floyds resume than Pacs, so dont push it.
The guys Pac beat are just plain better quality than the ones Floyd beat. JMM was hardly coming off great wins. Floyd beat him after Pac busted him up and those effects are lasting. When Floyd fought JMM, JMM was a shell of himself. For one he knew he could hit the canvas at any time, cos pac put him there so much.

You just implied that the Marquez win wasn't impressive, now it is impressive? Becase it was a UD? So ALL UD's are impressive? So you would say it was impressive if Mayweather got a UD against Erik Morales in his next fight? Right?

Lol, what a dumb ass. Forbes is one of the softest punching fighters in boxing and De La Hoya's old washed up ass got a busted up cheek from that fight.

There's more to being impressive than domination or a quick KO. Cotto fought most of that fight handicapped. He took a ton of punches and fought back. Despite scoring a KD, he had to bite down and take the 12th to seal the deal for himself. Winning a close fight where you're put in jeopardy certainly qualifies as impressive.

Please....when was the last time a legit money making challenge (capable of drawing at least 800K) in the WW division won in impressive fashion?

The last time for Mosley was when he beat Margs, Mayweather fought him before Manny had the chance. Mayweather apparently doesn't want to fight Pac and Clottey could have drawn with Cotto or beaten him if he tried just a tad more in the final rds. Hatton bullied Malignaggi in route to the stoppage, impressive or not it's still a win.

Anyways, does anyone really think that it would have made a difference in the fight outcomes whether or not Pac's recent opponents would have come into the fights off of an impressive win? Sure, they would be brimming with confidence in rd 1, by rd 2 they realize that Pac is 10 times faster than they are and that he throws 10 times the punches that they do. By rd 4 the fights would look identical to the ones that we saw on TV.

Margs won his last fight and even got into the best shape of his life and said "There is no way that Pacquiao can beat me, I am positive I will knock him out" He came into the fight full of pride and confidence and had to have his face rebuilt after the fight as his gift.

who's talkin about marquez?you right?you are the 1 that tried to compare floyd-marquez to oscar-forbes now you ignore the whole forbes-oscar conversation because maybe it is startin to set in that what you said was ******.1 more thing about the marquez fight which you brought up marquez last 3 fights have been at 135 ww is 2 weight classes from there so don't use extreme comparisons like donaire-pac it just makes you look even more ******ed
