Why? Because it makes the most sense for both fighters.

      Cintron? WTF?

        um

Cintron- beat the stuffing out of.....TWICE. You really think Cintron is better than Cotto even at this stage?

Angulo- honestly may never fight again

These days, they make it sound as if he never had defense and just walked through every punch when that was not the case. And I read what you wrote, did you read what I wrote? You can't say, "I wasn't prepared" and just because it's fact doesn't mean it's ok. It's an excuse regardless. And irrelevant. You're paid to fight. Period.
Dude i dont know what your 1st language is but i think i get what your saying.. anyway granted he hasn't looked great since Cotto, but as a fan you should understand the reasons why. Mosely - Weight-drained. Garcia - tune-up after 18 month lay-off. Pacman - ATG.

Real fans support their fighter's even after losses. Margarito will be back - mark my words. Like eaner said, Tony would have beaten most 147/154 lb er's that night.. that's the truth.

Of course I understand the reason why. Look, I've been watching Margarito since the turn of the century. I know a fading fighter when I see one. And yes, you can have hope that your faded fighter turns back the clock (Lord knows, I've been the victim of that a million times) but the reality is, it's very rare that the clock gets turned back. So no, I don't believe that version of Margarito we saw beats most 154lbers and welters. For starters, he can't even make welter so what's the point of bringing that up. And until he does do beat a top fighter again, there is nothing I've seen in the past 30+ rounds from him to believe he can.
