I agree with the way Shane looked(lethargic and shot) against Floyd and Mora this fight would be a beating. If Shane can come back and string 1 or 2 solid wins together maybe this fight would be decent but even then i wouldnt want it to come off.

Maybe. I might be underrating Pac's power as I tend to do.

I agree Mayweather could have finished had he put his punches together, but the question is can Pacquiao do what Mayweather did?

Mayweather had the ability to be offensive and defensive at the same time. Meaning he was able to stand in front of Mosley, pick him apart with accuracy, and be good (great really) enough defensively to avoid Mosley's punches/power. Pac, while tougher than Mayweather just doesn't have that in his arsenal (pinpoint accuarcy and great defense)..

Mosley is not as fast as Pac. In any way. He is also extremely stationary with bad defense. He is always looking for one big shot and has huge stamina problems.

How does that equal any chance against Pacquiao?

Because Pacquiao is open for that "one big shot".. He's not as fast on the feet, but when Shane lets his hands go, he still has great handspeed (more at below 154).

And yes, it seems he's run into some stamina problems, but if he can land those bombs early, it shouldn't be to much of a problem. Not comparing Marg to Pac, but Marg had great stamina as well.

They both have pretty bad defense, which is what makes this fight entertaining.

If Pac had gotten hit with that shot that Mosley caught Floyd with, Pac would have gotten KO'd. Because Manny's inclination is to trade, not clinch or buy time. But those opportunities will be far and few for Shane because Manny will throw a zillion punches.

Floyd presented HUGE problems for Shane. You are right. But Manny also presents HUGE, albeit different, problems.

This will look alot like Manny-Oscar or Sergio-Pavlik.

              Doesn't that also describe JMM?

Of course, JMM is great. But his defense is not the best, and his hand and foot speed pales against Manny's.

JMM is not a lead-footed robot. But if you look at his fights with Manny, Pac was moving 3x as much.

Pac's defense is becoming underrated. People seem to overlook that while Pac does get hit a lot, he is landing 3 punches for every 1 his opponent lands. Pacquiao isn't as open to that one huge shot as people think, and really the only reason Floyd got hit by that shot is because he was taking it too easy. Once that shot woke him up, Shane never came close to landing a shot like that.

Mosley just isn't capable of beating someone who moves like Pac. He would be spending the whole fight taking shots and trying to find Pac when he moved. And since Mosley isn't a pressure fighter like Margarito, Pac wouldn't be half as uncomfortable as Margarito made him. And no, Mosley's handspeed is no where near Pac's.

This fight would only be remotely interesting if the fight is for the 154 title & Mosley is allowed the limit!!Larry, homey why does Mosley have to (at least)win a fight to get a shot at Pacman??I don't know if ur aware but Margarito was suspended for loading his gloves after being dominated by Mosley beat a bum outside the country & got a shot of the greatest fighter of this generation, hardly eligible but none the less!!
