Manny agreed to 7 days supposedly. Greenburg attests that it was floyd who ran away and Shaffer commented on pacs willingness to take the tests. Al Haymon was a part of the negotiations and his silence tells us the story because he can say nothing to defend his friend and client. Neither can Elerbe who denied the negotiations completely for what ever reason, most likely being a unfavorable one for Floyd's image. Floyd who is always yappin hasn't denied Manny's claims that he agreed to everything, which is what the media has banked on as evidence of Floyd's cowardice nor has he refuted Koncz who said it was a 7 day cut off which is a very acceptable compromise for assuring that both fighters are clean as Conte said 14 was good enough and was accepted by most as such back then. The point here is to address the concerns of Floyd and Manny. Floyd thinks it is a risk to go in the ring with a Ped user and Manny thinks it is a risk to go in the ring having been tested too close to the fight. 7 days answers those concerns. Why Floyd does not approve that, I don't know but it tells me and everyone he don't want the fight.
The facts are these though:
*Greenburg has gone public saying there were negotiations and suggested floyd ducked.
*Shaffer suggested that Pac is willing to test,
* Pac said he agreed to everything,
* Koncz said it was agreed to with a 7 day cut off.
Vs.
The lack of defense for an otherwise vocal person.
* The silence of Al Haymon,
*The silence of Floyd himself in denying what has caused him criticism (the acceptance of Manny of tests),
*and Elerbe's denial.
What caused their silence and denial? was it unfavorable for floyds image to speak on it with the true facts of the negotiations?
*****s wonder why people are critical of Floyd, call him a ducker, a coward but facts are facts and opinions are opinions. People see the facts of the evidence and weigh them and it is highly unfavorable for floyd right now. Even his father, who's word has become ***** gospel has gone totally to fantasy land in his last interview tirade. *****s, im sorry but you guys really, really, really are out of touch with reality.Last edited by Alibata; 11-19-2010, 01:29 PM.

Shane fought Margarito on January 24, 2009.
Cotto fought Clottey on June 13, 2009
Pacquiao fought Cotto on November 14, 2009
That WHOLE TIME Manny Pacquiao was in a position
to negotiate a fight with Mosley but Roach said Mosley
was too good, not a big enough draw and that he wasn't
Oscar. AND Roach said that Mosley would be Pacquiao
toughest fight out of Cotto and Mayweather. Your talking
about titles? Cotto won Paul Williams WBO, vacantly fighting
Michael Jennings, while Mosley TKO'd Margarito, who TKO'd
Cotto for his title. Which fight makes the most sense for the P4P
king Manny Pacquiao? Mosley was top dawg. Pacquiao could
have made that fight happen if he wanted to. All I know is
Shane tried to......

ducked Manny? When Manny was the one who backed out
before? I really hope and wish that this fight happens next
year so we can all stop debating this over drawn topic. I
wish Manny and Floyd would just make this fight to spare
us the constant news about this happening. LETS DO IT.

So like I said if it was between cotto and mosley, cotto was the more attractive fight for the reasons I mentioned. And I wasn't talking belts but merely stating one of the reasons cotto was an option for manny. If he had fought mosley instead people would be *****ing he dint fight cotto.
was because Top Rank wanted it that way. Mosley was coming
off and impressive win and Cotto struggled pass Clottey. A Mosley
win at that time would have been a bigger achievment for Manny
at the time because everyone already said Cotto wasn't the same a
fter Margarito. To be more specific. Roach said it himself about
Cotto while he said Mosley was a bigger threat. You tell me which
fight would have been more meaningful for Pac?

Cotto was the champ and Manny made a reluctant Cotto put
his title on the line and Manny was the challenger? Why would
they do that if it didn't matter at 145? Manny fought De La Hoya
at 147 and not Cotto? Then he fought Clottey at 147? What
part of the game is that? Roach already said Cotto was damaged
goods? Why go for the weight? The funny thing is that Manny
has gooned De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto and Margarito into everything
he wants but Pac can't do a random blood tests? That's bull****.
Like I said, the weight favored manny but not enough to try to discredit his win which a lot of people like to do. Not just with him but every boxer. Its actually one of the things I dislike about boxing fans. For exqample, at the time of manny vs oscar it was suppose to be a mismatch for oscar, manny can't win etc. Manny wins and now its weight drained oscar, shot oscar, etc.
Manny agreed to floyds demand 2nd time around, its up to floyd to make the fight.

trying to act like it wasn't so BUT if he took on a bigger Oscar
at 147. Why couldn't he fight Cotto at 147? I think Floyd
is going to have to call Manny on his bluff and just accept
the 7 days and make the fight. One of these guys have to
do it because as of right now. It looks like neither wants
the fight.
