I cant help but be pretty darn skeptical of this fella, I cant get the Kenny Kost fight out of my head, to me the punch wasnt even all that great and he got scrambled pretty badly.

Judgement on this kid has to be reserved in my opinion until he fights a noteworthy opponent who can really show us what type of chin he has and that is probably a couple years away.

My hunch is that the kid if hit cleanly is lacking in the chin department, he appears to have all the talent in the world but I just dont know about his beard, again my hunch is that the kid when tested is not going to take a punch all too well.

All of this talk is premature, this was what, his 6th fight?

I was more impressed with Andre Dirrell.
He's more exciting to watch than Ward IMO.

finally someone else mentions the chin checkers. they are my fav 2 prospects. i think codrington is the best and we have got some super fights comin gup in the next2-3 years between these 4. ward and dirrell come after them though, i guess stevens is the least skilled out of all4 but his power will carry him through though. and he definitely looked better in his last fight cause he showed better patience and accuracy, so hopefully he will get better as time goes on. codrington is the best one although dirrell is probably the most difficult style to deal with. i know stevens wants to fight ward cause they fought in the amatuers which if anyone has i definitely am willing to trade for it. if they all fought right now i say codrington beats them all, and stevens loses to them all. but i think in time stevens will be right behind codrington and beat both dirrell and ward in the future cause hes showing improvement and he had the most to improve on and hes on his way. btw i think all of them will beat jeff lacy in the future. those will all be great fights, but codrington with that very long reach and excellent skill will murder lacy from the outside. stevens lacy would be a great close inside fight. dirrell would confuse lacy with his similar to roy jones style. and ward i think is just better skilled and to quick for lacy. i love lacy but i like these guys better already and they havent had many fights. codrington has 9 and thats the most of any of them. anyway the super middleweight division will be one of the best in boxing in years to come instead of it being one of the worse like it has been for a while. you will have ward, dirrell, stevens, and codrington at the top, with lacy leading all contenders, instead of kessler, cal***gay, and green being the best. i have no doubt that any of the prospects that i have been talking about would knock any of them out at anytime now or later.

Agree completely-I dont believe nayone can tell how good a fighter really is until he takes his first big step up in comp and this is still at least a year...at the very least a year away.

They're bringing him along at a steady pace, and he was ripping his shots really well last night:

What do you thing are some areas of concearn? He still seems to leave himself open with some of the shots he throws, but he seems to have a deccent beard and can get away with it.

Either way, the kid is pretty exciting to watch. Can't wait to see more of him.
We haven't seen him take a proper punch yet, but his neck appears strong.

Yeah, and those ***** shots that ***** white bartender landed don't count as proper punches.

Lil ol ***** ***** needs to get the **** outta the ring and stick to bartending, making the white race look bad in the ring like dat
