Clotteys best win was a close fight with zab judah whom he outweighed by 20 pounds. Clottey couldnt hold titos jockstrap and you dont want to understand that. The fact you think clottey ca beat tito is crazy and you dont have a good argument for it. He didn't really have a "poor outing" against Pacquiao. He wasn't "beat mentally", he just fought like Clottey fights. That fight looked exactly as it should have looked.


You're overrating him. He's a very solid contender in this era, but he doesn't do enough and he doesn't possess the drive to beat a guy of Trinidad's caliber. 'Styles make fights' just becomes a meaningless slogan when you wave it a fight like this, because there's nothing Clottey can do to win it.

More in that he has good skills, great defence and is very strong, but just doesn't punch enough. He would be so much more effective if he moved into range behind the guard and drew the attacks and countered each time after he blocked, instead of just standing there and letting guys line him up with angles or just plain outwork him.
