Is Bernard Hopkins a racist?

he's obviously pro black, he says it all the time, he also works with many other people who aren't black and works with them in close proximity in his business and personal life. so with that being a fact, i wouldn't call him a racist, just someone who puts his peoples interests in front of the status quo.

if hopkins was racist, we'd here him doing nothing but bashing white fighters or the white man, and he would refer to mexicans and others in a derogatory way, beyond slang, leaning more towards slurs.

the man has freedom of speech here in the states, so he can voice his opinion one way or the other and there is nothing i can do about it one way or the other. i either agree and pay attention, disagree and pay attention, or disagree and not give up any of my attention...... it's sad that when one has a point, or an opinion, based off of ones observation and also hearing it being brought up from time to time in discussions, that one gets labeled a "racist" just for speaking about obviousness that is right in front of our eyes.

remember, like almost all blacks in america, life through their eyes is a lot different, they have had and still have to deal with stuff that many of us wont, and i'm not saying, poor this guy, this color, this race, but the facts are the facts, lifes outlook and perception for old school black guys like hopkins and the generations before him, life was different and a lot harder on the black man than it is now. hopkins was raised and grew up around guys that were all in the civil rights movement and the like, i'm not saying specific people, i'm saying generationally was raised by the fighters for equality.

so it's easy to see his POV more, and his intensity for his people to flourish, which is good, but it is also a double edge sword because, although it is a good thing, it also plays a part in " divide and concur ". if we as people, americans and people of the earth in general, start dividing up ourselves and fight among one another, the true powers that be, the people who don't care about color or race, because it's only a tool for them to get what they want, and thats us fighting with one another over our differences instead of realizing our similarities and fighting against the banks and mega insurance companies who are the ones benefiting from orchestrated chaos.........

any way, hopkins isnt racist, just proud a defender of his peoples and his heritage.

First up he just might be helping Mosley land a Pac fight, but saying on record "When will Pac fight top black fighters?" is IMO dumb and ******, coz we all know Pac beat the crap outta Ledwaba who was the Super Bantamweight Champ that time, and what's more remarkable for Pac to do that is he was just a late replacement and was advised the fight in just two weeks, and hardcore fans knew how Ledwaba was one of the most avoided fighters at that time, even HBO was hyping up Ledwaba that time and Pac was a virtual unknown. Clottey wasn't a top black fighter though but he's still black WTF, so Bhop's kinda ****** saying that.

Saying he won't let no white boy defeat him doesn't sound racist if we take everything literally. He's black and his opponent's white, so WTF.

Though I don't believe he's racist, I do believe now he talks outta his ass sometimes, which made me kinda disappointed since the guy talks the more sense and truth (especially when he talked about when Floyd invited him to see his house LOL) than any other boxer out there, until that colour rant and black fighter thing.

It's very obvious that HBO is biased against Europeans, I'm not the only one who's noticed that. Ross Greenburg has even said he prefers to show black boxers.

I knew he was a racist when he said Wlad K is a C fighter in an interview.

It's pure bias,dude is being bitter about Wlad and I think it's for some obvious reasons.

Wlad might be boring,but he's everything except a C fighter,I would say Wlad is at least a B+ fighter.
I my opinion,a so dominant fighter is a A fighter.Maybe the division is weak,but Wlad lost 2 of his last 60 rounds.

Wlad has no pub,no props in the boxing world.

I disagree, Benard Hopkins is a very smart guy, he is one of the few fighters that can break down the technical aspect of the game.
I don't think Bernard is racist; his ploys although tasteless, do (did) sell fights. His drive is to get butts on seats...and will do it by any means.
