I can see it now, 'floyd fought him so why can't Manny?' I imagine that will be there main basis of argument.

After this Margarito fight, and the way he's getting praised for it, i have no doubt in my mind Manny could literally fight anyone and get praised for it.

Not at all, Tua. No more retreads. That goes for either fighter. I'd like the Martinez-Williams winner, followed by the Bradley-Alexander winner then Berto. But if Shane's twitter message is correct...ugh. Disgusting if they go through with that and it appears that's the #1 fight on their list.

i feel bad for shane. i don't think he deserves a fight with pac.

i'd like to see him get paid though. hopefully he can get marg or cotto or something.

bradley-alexander is good but i don't know if it will get made. maybe if it's bradley who wins. shaw and arum can work out a deal on the side or something to make arum do it. throw in darchinyan for donaire again or something.

i don't like martinez and pwill because they're just too big but if floyd fight can't be made , screw it. it can be pac's last fight. try to go out in a blaze of glory against the winner. even if he losses he doesn't lose much as far as legacy because of the size difference.

plus the pac fight replay will be the same night as pwill-martinez. instant promotion and name recognition for the winner to set up a pac fight.

Absolutely, but some Manny fans know what's up.

Agreed. Although I don't feel that badly. He got a career high payday two fights ago and a BS PPV right after that just so everyone could get paid. Mosley's had a lot of big paydays. Not talking to you but for those who pretend as if Williams/Martinez/Berto/Bradley don't deserve a big fight (the last two moreso than the first), just remember that when Shane Mosley stepped in the ring against Oscar De La Hoya that first time, the best win on his dossier was Philip Holliday. I'd say those guys have done enough to get their big opportunity. The retread thing is getting tiring.

Yup. It can be done. I don't think either is beating Manny Pacquiao but at least it's not Marquez or Mosley or something else I've seen before.

Yeah, I see what you're saying but Pacquiao fought a super middle last Saturday. So all that really means when you say they are too big is that they are too good. Williams would take a fight at 150 I'm sure. The fight could've been made instead of the one we just saw. It would be a nice send-off for Manny but forgive me if I'm not buying the whole "he'll take on a real challenge next time" thing. It's been a while. If Manny was going to be fighting the likes of Clottey, the least he could do is let me watch it for free.

Yeah, forreal. And someone is going to shine in this one. I'm so hyped about this fight.

I was leaning toward Williams but I think I'm biased because I've met and chatted with him and would like to see him do well. He's a warrior. But damn, how can you pick against Sergio Martinez? The dude is such a great boxer, so smooth and his counters are incredible. Great handspeed and enough movement (and know-how) to discombobulate his opponent. And good power. I tell you what, Paul Williams is facing a monster on Saturday night. And I'd rather not be forced to decide beforehand. Can I wait until after and pick the winner's next fight?
