Arum made people believe that Floyd ducked Margarito and Cotto.
I prefer to go with what really happened......

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."
Manny got in the ring with them because he saw that they
were damaged goods and STILL demanded that the fights
be at catchweights for a WW and JM title(s)? What part
    of the game is that?

Regardless of the circumstances, here is what we know.

      May vs Cotto = Nope
      May vs Margarito = Nope
      May vs Clottey = Nope
      May vs PWill = Nope
      May vs Martinez = Nope

May became a welterweight in 2005 and his most competitive match-up is likelier to take place in a courtroom rather than the ring and it took him 5 years to do it.

Mosley prior to his victory over Margarito looked slightly above average at best. He struggled badly with Mayorga and still had the same stamina issues that plague him today.

Floyd went for the money then, just like Pac is doing now.
And for the record. Pac said "NO" when asked about
a possible fight with Williams and I'm sure Top Rank
won't put Manny in with Martinez and Martinez most
likely won't go down that far in weight.

Dude we can go back and forth on this but let's at least call it what it really was:

May vs Cotto = May called him out when he was coming up from 135 but Cotto said NO WAY!
May vs Margarito = More hype than anything
May vs PWillz = If he get's pass Martinez
May vs Martinez = If he get's pass PWillz
May vs Pac = Excuses, religious, afraid of needles, Team Pac doesn't really wanna see it happen.

          • I can't wait to hear the Pacwh*res justify how Pacquaio-Mosley is a legit fight. Then, I can't wait to watch them cream in their panties after he destroys Mosley and act like he's just beaten Ray Robinson and Henry Armstrong on the same night.

Lol we can spin this anyway we want to. He could have fought either PWill or Martinez, before either of those men faced each other. He chose not to. Regarding May vs Pac -- forget Arum. I'll take Greenburg's word for it. For some reason Mayweather does not want or feel like being in the ring period.

Bob Arum cited that as the WBo 140 champ, Cotto was "too green" to fight Mayweather at the time.

Margarito was rebuilding from a loss to Daniel Santos, Mayweather fought the champ Baldomir. I guess in Pacland fighting guys coming off loses is a big deal. But here on planet Earth, its chicken****.

Mayweather-Pacquaio, will never happen because Team Pacquaio is much more interested in convincing the Pacwh*res that its really Mayweather that doesn't want the fight than actually making the fight.

I agree with you. What did Mayweather say in regards to PWill, when that fight was brought up to him, which it was many times?

Okay going with that logic....why isn't Mayweather fighting anyone at all (forget about Pac)? At least one guy is carrying out his job in the ring, you can cast your disapproval by not buying the PPV, but at least he is fighting. The other guy is busy it seems...

If May beat Pwillz back then it would've been "so what" but how much bigger will the fight be if PWillz becomes Middle-wt champion? Or Martinez after beating PWillz? Patience dude!!!! Floyd fights meaningful fights not damaged fighters coming off losses for meaningless paper belts.
