While watching Manny Pacquiao dominate Antonio Margarito during Saturday night's HBO pay per view televised clash at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, many African American boxers and fight fans wondered when they would see the Filipino super star challenge Floyd Mayweather "or any other top notch black fighter."

At least, that's what one of boxing's elder statesmen, Bernard Hopkins, believes.

"Maybe I'm biased because I'm black, but I think that this is what is said at people's homes and around the dinner table among black boxing fans and fighters. Most of them won't say it [in public] because they're not being real and they don't have the balls to say it," said Hopkins, a 45-year-old future Hall of Famer and a multi-division champion.

"But I do think that a fighter like like the Ray Leonards or anyone like that would be beat by a guy [like Pacquiao] if they come with their game," said Hopkins. "Listen, this ain't a racial thing, but then again, maybe it is. But the style that is embedded in most of us black fighters, that style could be a problem to any other style of fighting."
Ok, Black boxing community. Maybe not everyone, but most of them.

Don't get caught up in the racial aspect of Hopkins comment, he has never been known to be a wordsmith.

Slick fighters are not flat footed face first brawlers. It's about hit and not getting it.

You all can play dumb if you want to and make it a race thing. But it looks like PACMAN's Team is avoiding AA fighters that fight using the slick or hit and don't get hit style.

You see how well PACMAN does against counter punchers JMM and Clottey not so good. PACMAN's face was chopped up after the Clottey fight and Clottey was not really throwing punches. JMM is flat footed and beat PACMAN twice. Imagine what slick mobile counter puncher will do to PACMAN.

A wise man once said "you can't hit s**t, if ain't no s**t to hit" LOL!!! My best Mayweather senior impression. But you get the damn point.

So yes most of us are thinking the way Hopkins is but we are not ****** enough or brave enough to make such an Ill thought out comment in public.

Slick fighters don't come from one race...ask Camacho...

Makes more sense to say you would like to see Pac fight a slick fighter...

So if Pac beats Paul Williams, he's cool? Cuz Paul Williams is from the states and he sure as hell aint slick...
I agree with this. We all know Hopkins has these kinds of comments. He has allot of balls to say stuff even if it doesn't make much sense. People who think Hopkins is a racist SOB should be put in jail and be RACE SORTED 5 minutes into it and have to accept it SO THEY SURVIVE, then come say Hopkins is a racist.

That photo of Mayweather with all that money stored up is whats wrong with this country and with Mayweather. His dumbass doesnt appreciate all the american soldiers that died for him so he can train freely in the gym without worrying about a plane flying into it. Im biased because im in the Army but this country is too damn worried about money and props and all other kinds of **** that doesnt matter in the long run. Anyone that gets rich, especially self-made rich folks, I give all the credit in the world because thats the American dream, but people take that **** too seriously, especially Mayweather. I bet a couple of Afghanis or Iraqis shooting a AK-47 at his ass would humble him with a quickness. He would probably just throw hundred dollar bills at them and run.
