Fernando Vargas looks to be in good shape

Somepeople say that Mayorga shouldn't have had the opportunity to fight for a title so fast. But why should Vargas? The rightful owner of the belt was Castillejo, he/or his handlers did not want to fight Mayorga (whom was his mandatory), so the title became vacant. The winner of the Vargas vs. Castillejo fights Mayorga, which is only fair. How in the world can anyone not like this situation?

It didn't become mandatory for Castillejo to fight Mayorga untill he signed to fight Vargas. But since Mayorga is Promoted by Don King it became mandatory even after Castillejo had already signed to fight Vargas. I think neither Vargas or Mayorga earned the right to be the number 1 contender so Castillejo should have been allowed to fight who ever he wanted to fight and should not have been stripped of his belt.

well i'm not a vargas fan cause i don't really know his whole background and thing such as that would make me a fan......but i do like the way he fights and i like how he is sure of himself a man with confidence is far better than a humble man in my eyes.......

I would take Vargas to be Mayorga either way the fight is gonna have some knockdowns in it cause Vargas will always try to get up the only way he won't is if the ref stops it and well as Mayorga the guy is a brawler he loves to fight but iw ould choose Vargas but just don't know if its gonna be by decision or TKO

No, if i remember right, Mayorga was the mandatory before Vargas came into the picture. Though i agree that Castillejo should have had at least been able to defend his title. A fight with Vargas or Mayorga would have been good. I still like the turn out though, and am looking forward to the Vargas vs Castillejo fight.
