the guy is already punch-drunk and he's like 27, he should take some of his DeLaHoya $$$ and buy himself a top-notch hospital bed, maybe get a flossy platinum bed-pan to go with it since he's usually tryin' to be Mr. Hip-Hop
i disagreei think u can train the chin. jus get mad heavy punchers to sparr with u.
n all of his punches hes been down from r left hooks
n they were in the fights against DLH tito, and one other, the fight after tito

i think vargas's fight on saturday, will determine how good he is now. it doesn't matter if he doesn't KO the guy, hes tryna learn how to box, so if he does that good, then hell try the bigger boys of the division

Vargas won't beat Mayorga in ma opinon too.

Mayorga in his right weight class = BEAT VARGAS BY STOPPAGE.

side note: Vargas should fight Forrest. 2 good fightas comin back afta a long layback. It's perfect match. It would be interesting, but I still see Forrest beating Vargas as well.

Makes sense. I think Forrest would beat Vargas as well, but he(vernon) looked rusty in his last fight, rightfully so.

I thought Vernon looked good, and he would KO the current Vargas in 3 rounds.

Somepeople say that Mayorga shouldn't have had the opportunity to fight for a title so fast. But why should Vargas? The rightful owner of the belt was Castillejo, he/or his handlers did not want to fight Mayorga (whom was his mandatory), so the title became vacant. The winner of the Vargas vs. Castillejo fights Mayorga, which is only fair. How in the world can anyone not like this situation?
