I don't think Williams can take the punches Margarito took, but at the same time I think Williams would utilize his height advantage a little bit better. I have a feeling Williams would try to win a decision. Fighting more in the style of Lennox Lewis than walking Pacquiao down..

Williams uses his 80 something inch reach to his advantage. Margarito even being bigger than Pacquiao, his best chances were at close range to land the uppercuts and body shots. It's really hard to tell with Pacquiao now, it would be interesting to see him fight a bigger guy that uses his distance properly.

paul williams will get severely weight-drained coming down to 147. while he's saying he can make 147, his motivation is to get a big payday...more than enough reason to make the sacrifice.
but then if he loses to pac, people who want this matchup at 147 will be the same people who will criticize pac for fighting a weight-drained fighter.

against Manny, Williams wouldnt be throwing punches in 1000's. once Manny hurt him he would be in a defensive mode. Williams wouldnt be as brave as Marg throwing punches even though he was hurt.

true but you know pac, he is relentless, if williams fights cautious, pac will just start launching his combos, if williams walks him down, pac will go in and out launching his combos....

But this would also be against pac's style as pac is an infighter that quickly gets in, shoot a combo then gets out of range. So williams just needs to wait at the moment pac goes in. Unfortunately pac also counters. Margo realized the power of pac and that is why he was covering. I think when williams receives it, he might be doing the same thing as he might not cope up with the speed.

Very interesting but I don't think pac will sign as the height advantage is too great.

To put things in perspective,the Punisher ko's Saturdays Margarito inside of 10 rounds!!Now Saturdays Margarito is absolutely not the fighter to base the Punisher on,the Punisher is a prime,active fighter,he doesn't slow down & he doesn't stop firing!!He's been in there with middleweight power,he ko's Manny,none of Manny's last 3 opponents can be used to compare him,if U think so,U should think again!!

I respect and admire him simply because he has heart, chin, and stamina - but that is where it stops...
