I'm no fan of the garbage Haye spews from his mouth but as far as avoiding Chagaev, I have to support him on that. Chagaev is a B level fighter who's been recycled and beaten by the best and make no mistake, Haye's in a different class than Chagaev and I can't blame him for not wanting to fight him. He's a total waste of time but then again so was Harrison, Ruiz, and Barrett.

Now if Haye has plans to fight a Klitschko rather than Chagaev fine by all means avoid the guy. If Haye's plan however is to take on another C or D level opponent then Haye should be forced to take the fight. My guess is this is all just the beginning of Haye trying to sell the fight with Chagaev. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I believe Haye has every intention of fighting Chagaev and then Jones Jr. Haye's not afraid of Chagaev he knows it's an easy victory.

If Haye doesn't fight Chagaev, Povetkin, Adamek, or a Klitschko, he won't have a leg left to stand on. Barrett was a good introduction to the HW division, Valuev was a decent beltholder, Ruiz was ok, and Harrison was a money fight. He has nowhere left to go and no excuses left to make.
