When will manny fight a fast black guy lol. He fight all slow guys and he got a lucky punch in when he went up against Hatton guys who come forward he will destory but guys who are fast and smart he will lose. The only fast boxers out there are black like Floyd, Tim Jr, Mosley, Devon, Berto, Paul. He will not fight none of those guys he pick a slow Clottey. Fight someone one speed for speed or just take the 30 million dollar test lol. Remember Olympic style drug testing is random not a cut off limit, this will be the biggest fight in history winner take all why not do a random drug test. This will be just like the Olympics remember what manny said " im doing this for my country".

Alex Ariza is the biggest ***wit involved with boxing today.

His dopey comments re: Mosley absolutely confirm that.

And his even dopier comments re: Marquez are just icing on the cake.

What the **** would he know about boxing?

And why would anyone take that fkn idiot seriously?

          For what??????

GOD-FR33 here from MKE. SHANE is entertaining and flashy but he is finished. You guys are going off his reputation more so than what he is in 2010. He had his last shot against MAY and we saw what happened. He got tired after only two rounds. His age had a lot to do with his lack of real hand-speed and reflex in that fight. MAY gets credit for taking a couple power shots but that's all. it was SHANE who made him look so dominant! The logical fight for MANNY in 2011 is MARQUEZ guys. It's personal! He and the entire boxing world seems to think he was "robbed" in both fights. I disagree. I think MANNY was given both decisions because he stayed on his feet. That's how close it was. MARQUEZ needs to not go down in close fights. How about that logic? Anyway, this is the perfect time to RETIRE him because this version of MANNY is MANNY 3.0. LoL. He will not go 12 with this version of MANNY. The fighter he fought was a 1-2 punching fighter with great stamina. This guy we just saw on SATURDAY, is a ring immortal. He's f'n GREAT! So, that's the fight that needs to happen. And the weight should be whatever MANNY wants because he's the champion! The Welterweight champion. It's 147 or nothing MARQUEZ!

Its very said that old boy Ariza thinks Mosley gave up and will not give Floyd his credit. What you saw in May is a Floyd fight you always see. So i guess he saying all 41 of Floyd fighters gave up bcuz they all look the same you can't hit what you can't see no body said anything in that Hatton fight when Manny look like he was about to go down. Remember we didn"t even know anything about manny when Floyd was in his weight class fighting good fighters. Manny was a no name then one day Ariza gave him that meth and now he the best pound for pound. If boxing want this fight to happen they need to step in and say all world title championship bouts are going to be random blood test i bet Manny retire mark my word.

Truth is Mosley got tired in that second round, and he got nervous for some reason like he was scared to punch. HE didn't punch,, He had Mayweather right where he wanted him but it got to him and he QUIT punching and all my begging , standing up jumping chairs and bellowing at the TV didn't help a bit.

Ariza is not being disrespectful, yall *****s have got to put all of this in the right perspective:

He beat him and who beat who don't matter, styles make fights , but in Margos case with Mosley we know that Margo was at fault coming into the fight drained dramatically from a weight loss of 30 or 40 pounds and Margo looked horrible, I saw that immediately .

Mosley got him but he couldn't get Mayweather and he had his butt on a stick and he still couldn't pull that trigger, it looked like fear had gripped Mosley, sic, so so sic.

What in the world would it prove to put Mosley in with Pac ?

IF he got lucky and popped Pac then he could brag but if Pac has his eyes open and is in shape its already over

The only fights for Pac is one to shut up Marquez of whom I like and the other is fight Mayweather.

You love Mayweather and possibly know him, please talk to him , encourage him that he can win the Pac fight , get him to sign , please, Please, tell him to quit hiding behind the drug ploy and just sign.
The last time a checked it wasn't Mosley that stopped punching, but Floyd who tied him up and not allowed him to reel off. You guys need to start watching fights objectively, or watch the fight in "mute".

                  Point is.......

Hey man. GOD-FR33 here from MKE. MAY'S legacy or lack there of will always be questioned and the real boxing public and fans unsderstand why. It's simple. He doesn't fight the best. He doesn't take risks. He only cares about money and not his fans. He's a very mean and unrealistic guy. He says things like he was a better fighter than LEONARD, ALI, WHITAKER, HEARNS, ROBINSON, etc. Now you can see why he is in a corner right now. It's come down to fight the best or retire! I respect his in ring ability but question his greatness man. I know grea and he's not great. He's a Hall Of Famer, but not an All-Time Great. MANNY IS! End of story. He'll fight ANYBODY. I also respect SHANE but I've been watching him his entire career and what happened against MAY, this past MAY, had little to do with SKILLS. It was about age and lack of reflex on SHANES part that made MAY look so dominant. He was tired after two rounds! SHANE is never tired after two rounds. He's not fast anymore, he's flashy. MANNY would have K.O.ed him. MANNY would have also K.O.ed MARQUEZ. MAY couldn't. Hmmmmm WHY IS THAT? They both were looking for a reason to QUIT!

Some of you guys know even less than Alex Ariza about the sport of boxing

Why do so many people make irrational knee-jerk posts?

This is an old post, but I do not even feel slightly guilty about re-posting, after reading some of the silly comments in this thread concerning the Mosley/Mayweather fight......

That's called the ***** mentality. I don't know why FLOYD doesn't want to run through boxers like PAC does. To protective of his 0 loss record.
Bro, there are many great fighters who had less than 40 pro fights.

It's more about who you fought, and when you fought them, than how many pro fights you had.

True, tell that to SRR but you get my point.

Even though I rate Mayweather very highly indeed, and I think that there is still time for him to carve his name on the tree of boxing legends, who he has fought to-date is more questionable than how many pro fights he has had.

BUt you gotta admit, the way he dealt with Mosley was masterful.

Floyd took away the only advantage that Shane had in that fight from the very second the bell rang for round one. Mayweather had an edge in speed, skills, ring IQ, and he about matched Mosley in experience. Shane had a proven edge in power, heart, and chin.

I expected that Shane would seriously take the fight to Floyd right from the first bell. I expected that Floyd would be needing to use TONNES of slick footwork and right-hand leads just to keep Shane off him, and that establishing the perimeter could take 3-4 rounds at least.

What did Floyd do? He took away every advantage that Shane had by meeting him in the middle of the ring right from the first bell. He took a risk early and tried to negate Shane's aggression and power by taking the fight to him, in an attempt to establish the perimeter early so that the difference in the fight would come down to technical skills.

Mayweather knew that he had time to recover and adjust if things didn't go to plan early, and he knew that once he had Shane where he wanted him the fight would be much easier.

It was a great gameplan, he just overplayed it.

Floyd had Shanes respect by round two, and he knew that Mosley was not gonna try to walk through him, so he should have boxed him from that point on. The sooner it became a contest of skills, the sooner that Mayweather could start racking up the rounds.

It was a mistake to continue to mess with Shane flat-footed at that point in the fight.

People who say that Shane gassed crack me up.

If you go in with Mayweather and gas by round 2, then I don't care who you are, you are gonna get KTFO!! And, Shane did not look gassed in round 6, 7, 8, that I watched on replay at my friend's house about 3 weeks ago.

Watch Mayweather's feet 30 seconds before Shane connected in round two, then watch Mayweather's feet from the bell at the start of round three ..... THAT, is what changed in round three, NOT Mosley gassing.

                      Stick to wrestling guys.
