Calzaghe was just too good that night. And in truth, just too good at any point in Roy's career.
His speed, his relexes, his aggression - top class! It's no shame in getting utterly humiliated in the biggest fight of your career against a pound for pound great like Joe Calzaghe.
Roy just wasn't good enough.Get over it,Yanks!

Roy was shot to hell but he still needed the money.
It's hard to feel bad for a guy that's made a ton of money but unfortunately for many fighters, he still has to fight today, which is sad because he really is shot to hell and has been for quite some time.Comment

Where is the proof that he NEEDS this money?
Where?
What proof do you have?
Do you have his financial statements? His bank transaction sheets?
DO you know how much money he spent in total in 2007, and 2008?
Have you talked to his accountant?
Is him still fighting on because he may of thought he still had it out of the realm of possibility?
Still thought he could win another title?
Maybe didn't feel he was as past prime as he was?
Where is this proof of him being broke that you so matter of factly put it?
Just because he's still fighting?
You think him fighting since he was 8 years old.. after 34 years of being involved in this sport.. that maybe... just maybe, there's an attachment factor there?
Maybe.Comment
