Margarito would have tore Mayorga a new one.Constant pressure and consistent inside body work would have had Mayorga in deep trouble by the seventh or eighth round.Margarito was a much sharper, much superior technician than Mayorga, who had absolutely no boxing skills whatsoever.

There's alot more to breaking an opponent down than just power shots to the head.

no mayorga keeps going as well. and margirito is a huge target and never moves his head and is the slowest boxer ive ever seen. he has a high workrate but usually boxers that throw alot dont hit hard or arent very good at setting stuff up so they rely on outworking and breaking down their opponent. mayroga throws everything to knock you out and he would be hitting margirito at will. but mayorga isnt no floyd either and margirito would be hitting him as well.

Mayorga came into the divison and did the rare task of fighting the three straight champions in a row. While picking up the ring belt. You dont see that anymore. At the time Mayorga was a big selling, main event star. Margarito was a complete nobody. By the time it really could have been made, Margarito already lost his only big fight agaisnt Santos. While Mayorga was making millions.
