(Dan Rafael) Worst that PAC-Marg PPV will do is 1.25M buys according to Arum!

being on the pro drug testing side of the debate lol, i actually was thoroughly excited during pacs destruction of margarito. That being the case i thought it might have done 1.4 million. anyways more than a fan of a boxer, being a fan of boxing i want mayweather pacquiao i want the fight to happen and i feel that pac equaling mayweather mosley sales mould actually make negotiations easier.I can't say I believe those numbers. That would be crazy... No legit number will come until Thursday/Friday. Any number that comes out right now is just guess.
My guess, and just a guess, it is somewhere between 900k-1mil... Don't have no facts or anything. Just a guess... But, that is still a successful PPV and add 40k in attendance that I think it would be so much of a success that I think it would be out of line for Floyd to ask for 60-40, maybe 55-45 but not 60-40. If the rumors are true and it does more than a mili than it has to be 50-50.Comment

It starts and ends with unlimited testing with no cutoff date. If Pac accepts that, I don't care if the Pac-Marg PPV only does 1.0M, Floyd better accept the fight or he loses everyone.Comment

The fight has to do 1.4 milli or more. We all know Margarito is a bigger drawcard than Shane, and i can prove this and happily argue the point. If this fight does 1.2 and below Floyd has a valid argument to ask for more money, i.e 55-60.
this is just fact. I don't care about it, but Pac and Arum shouldn't be unreasonable and recognise if this doesn't do over 1.4 they are 4 - zip against Floyd, with 3 of those being against common opponents and one being against a bigger draw.Comment

No, if this does more than a million and Floyd starts asking for more than 50/50 then Floyd is just out pricing himself out.The fight has to do 1.4 milli or more. based on what though?
- He has far superior numbers with 3 common opponents (this is actually the best way to tell who is selling more)
- He would have more with a lesser drawcard.
I would actually view Manny wanting 50% as pricing himself out. It's just not realistic. He is the number 2 draw in boxing for American PPV (the only thing that matters). He clearly has more fans WW, but that has nothing to do with how they will split the US PPV mkt.Comment

if he draws 1.4 and over he has a case for 50%.
From Floyd's perspective he can make just as much taking 75% from someone else if he sells over 1 million PPV's. He pays nothing to his promoter. 5% to Haymon, fees to GBP, 1% to Roger and prob 1% to the rest of the team. That's how floyd thinks. He is sitting back thinking why should i risk fighting a guy i genuinely believe is cheating when i can make the same amount fighting someone else, and i don't need to deal with TR.Comment

What i would like to see happen:
- Marg vs Pac does 1.4-1.5 million PPV buys (a great result which would mean boxing has 2 bonafide stars that can consistently do 1 million)
- Floyd vs Pac split the pot 50-50.
- 8 oz gloves of choice, standard ring.
- Full OST all the way or a small cut-off.
- Mayweather's name first for promotional duties (believe it or not, fighters care about this)
- Mayweather enters the ring last.
- 147 pounds. Standard weight penalties. We all know both men will make the limit.
DONE.
also the fight doesn't have to happen in the first half of 2011, it could happen in the second half, which allows Floyd a tune-up and Manny a rest.Comment

He played it yesterday all day long before and after they went to the hospital for further checking.Comment
