That is why I am intrigued myself between my mind and sentiments. Again, my mind tells me that Mayweather is a superior boxer whereas Pacquiao had the passion, fuel and the guns to overcome Mayweather's edge.
The fight itself can exceed beyond my wildest speculations....

There is little chance of it not being a great fight because there is no way Manny doesn't force Floyd to fight. Floyd forced to fight is a dangerous man but Manny is also.

It will be a waiting game in the first round, both sizing each other up. Floyd can land his punches as accurately as expected, but the question is will they be powerful enough to KO Pac? I don't think so as Floyd has a long history of winning by UD and all of those opponents will not compare to a Pacquiao who is in his prime right now.
In comparison, once Pac begins to unleash those combinations of his, it's either the start of a Mayweather deterioration in terms of just covering up ala Clottey or Margarito wherein he has no time to counter punch, or the start of Pacquiao going all the way for the kill.Last edited by maguirre; 11-19-2010, 08:13 PM.

But again, if you've been reading my postings, I can see Pacquiao really gaining some momentum here as he is becoming a "complete" fighter now as you put it.
There's so many ways to look at this fight but I am going with the safer and common knowledge approach.
• MAYWEATHER EDGING PACQUIAO FOR A UD/SPLIT DECISION or he gets KO'ed in the early rounds.
A second scenario is:
• Pacquiao winning a UD/SPLIT decision if Mayweather would ever be so elusive to box and maintain distance and clinching.
This is more like ALI vs FRAZIER to me again.(goosebumps)

I would have taken the same stance as you have eloquently put here prior to the Marg/Pac fight. After that fight (Pac/Marg), it will be Pac's game in this fight with Floyd.
We shall see the result and I hope it gets made earlier than agreed.

Deep in my heart I am rooting for Pacquiao and hoping he can crash the gates and just unleash his combinations. While Mayweather still his usual flair of the elusive, efficient and the defensive but effective boxer.
It's the ultimate of styles that I want to see.
This is akin to CHESS wherein the Grandmaster of defense such as ALEKHINE, TAL and KARPOV playing against the gambiteering Grandmasters such as KERES, FISCHER and KASPAROV.
This to me, is within that magnitude!

The biggest test for Mayweather is getting through the early rounds, Mayweather had some trouble with the hand speed and south paw stance of Judah but adjusted fairly quickly, since Pac has very quick hands and more power it could be dangerous for Mayweather. I lean towards a decision for Mayweather but would also not be surprised if he gets stopped, most likely TKO, imagine how crazy it would be when we witness the first legit time (yes he has been knocked down before but wasn't hurt(Judah) and the other time was because he hurt his hand) he gets knocked down - I can only imagine the atmosphere in the crowd.
If anyone, Mayweather is great in adjusting. THus Pacquiao's real chance is to capitalize on that and just let it rip while making sure he has enough STAMINA if in case he doesn't knock him out.
Then it becomes a BOXING match till the 12th.
