Comments Thread For: Shaw: After Alexander, Bradley is Ready For Pacquiao

Promoter Gary Shaw informed BoxingScene.com that unbeaten WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is one fight away from targeting Manny Pacquiao, the WBO champion at welterweight and the WBC champion at junior middleweight. Pacquiao will not remain at 154 and plans to return to 147-pounds in his next fight. Bradley has a scheduled fight with unbeaten WBC champion Devon Alexander on January 29. If Bradley wins, Shaw will attempt to make the Pacquiao fight with Top Rank, who promote the Filipino champion.

I wouldn't mind seeing this. Manny could be the 2nd fighter in the history of the sport to hold 3 titles in 3 weight classes simultaneously if he goes to 140 and knocks off Bradley.

140, 147 and 154 champ.....all at the same time....that is until suliaman threathens to strip him if he doesn't defend one of them.

I would like to see this, but I think the money men will steer Pacquiao towards a rematch with Marquez at 144 catchweight.

              It wouldn't go 4 rounds.

I doubt Manny ever goes back to 140.

Pretty sure that fight would be at welter, or some mofo catch-weight.

I dont see how this fight would even sell and thats the key factor in Pacquiaos next match up.. People dont know Bradley. What has he done that would interest even the none fight fan? Bradley needs to build his name and rep up..

As we all see from the numbers at Cowboys Stadium on Sat.
                  From 50k against Clottey
                  To 41K against Margarito..

People want a FMJ vs. Pac fight.. If that fight doesnt happen then Pac should call it quits..

I'd love to see this. Bradley would definitely lose to Pac, but it's still a good fight. Pac never did defend the world title at 140 after he won it. If any JWW deserved a shot, it was Bradley. I'm liking the idea of a JWW tournament to solidify that division title, but Pac getting in the mix would be great. I don't expect the PBF fight to come off, so Pac needs something else to do.
