Bradley is the man, but he can't beat Pacquiao.

Not that a potential Floyd fight matters in the future, but if Pacquiao took on the winner of Alexander-Bradley and beat them then that would give him leverage in the negotiation of a Mayweather fight if it happened again. He beats Shane Mosley or JMM. Who gives a fuck? Mayweather will claim he already beat Mosley and JMM and Pacquiao is getting the leftover versions of them and use that as an excuse to keep ducking Pac. Arum is clueless about what fights need to be made for Manny.Comment

I don't think it'd give him leverage on anything. 50/50 split is probably set in stone. Weight cap and blood testing are probably the areas that kill this fight. I can see Mayweather maybe wanting a higher weight limit if a 3rd round of negotiations occur; I think he might try to get Pac to agree to a 150 cap and use the Margarito fight as a premise for doing so and agree to let there be a 7/15 day cutoff period for testing. Even if Pac badly beat Bradley, Mayweather wants that psychological edge somehow, somewhere. Why I don't see this fight happening.Comment

Promoter Gary Shaw informed BoxingScene.com that unbeaten WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is one fight away from targeting Manny Pacquiao, the WBO champion at welterweight and the WBC champion at junior middleweight. Pacquiao will not remain at 154 and plans to return to 147-pounds in his next fight. Bradley has a scheduled fight with unbeaten WBC champion Devon Alexander on January 29. If Bradley wins, Shaw will attempt to make the Pacquiao fight with Top Rank, who promote the Filipino champion.

This fight will do bad numbers in PPV sales. bradley is uknown an has no casual following. Not to mention a mismatch - pac will school this dude and will make him rethink about his boxing career
if he gets the fight though, props to him. its a good way to get recognition although he'll be coming in severly outclassed.Comment

i'd rather see bradley take on berto/margarito/cotto first to see where he's at...nevermind that bradley beat an unranked welterweight fighter...if bradley wanted to make a name fore himself right away at welterweight, he shouldve fought a top 5 welterweight...but please, bradleys performance against unranked welterweight abregu wasnt at all impressive...and it was boring as he.ck
better yet, i'd like to see marquez vs bradley, and the winner fights pacComment

I wouldn't mind seeing this. Manny could be the 2nd fighter in the history of the sport to hold 3 titles in 3 weight classes simultaneously if he goes to 140 and knocks off Bradley.
140, 147 and 154 champ.....all at the same time....that is until suliaman threathens to strip him if he doesn't defend one of them.Comment

Bradley is my boy and he would give Pac hell in there but I don't like Timmy's odds to win. When Pac turns it on, he just seems to go to a place that other boxers can't reach. I'd pull for Bradley in that fight but I'm not too confident that Bradley would win as much as I like him as a boxer and as skilled as he is.Comment
