TMZ is a bull**** site. Pacquioa probably didnt want to bother with such a scrub appearance that someone in his entourage committed him to without asking. When Pac refused to go, the person who made the promise had to come up with an excuse why he couldnt deliver. I have not yet seen the fight, but from what I gather it's Manny's hubris that caught up with him. He let the other guy **** away at him for a while. Eventually something is going to give.

I'm not convinced it was hubris at all. Margarito cut off the ring quite effectively, and was throwing a lot of hard body punches in the middle rounds. Manny would spin away from him off the ropes while throwing fast combinations, but couldn't stay off the ropes all the time, and couldn't avoid all the body punches while he was there; and he was clearly hurt several times. I don't think he was just letting Marg tee off on him, I think Marg put him under serious pressure.
